Journal Upgrade - Complete
The new autosave feature is complete and in place for the Journal section of your TotSite.
How it works:
When you go to the journal page and start writing - a copy of your work will be automatically saved in the first 3-4 minutes. Once the initial draft has been saved, a new copy will be saved every couple minutes. A status message will appear above the “Publish my Journal Entry” button with showing when the last draft was saved.
Drafts will not be published on your public TotSite until you click the “Publish my Journal Entry” button. This way you can continue to write your Journal entry without worrying about it showing up prematurely on your site.
The same process will take place if you edit an existing journal entry. Once the first autosave draft is saved, the entry you are editing will be changed to a draft until you “publish” the updated entry.
The Journal autosave feature will hopefully eliminate the chance of losing your work in the event that something happens to your Internet connection, computer, or if you were somehow logged out of TotSites.

This is a great idea because I have often been logged off and lost my journal entries because my son was crying in the middle of typing an entry or anything that distracted my attention for a while. Now I won’t have to worry about quickly typing an entry so that it won’t be lost.

I really like it. Its so helpful. Now i dont have to worry about losing it when my son loses it…lol…thanks

I love that the journal is now autosaving - I think it is great. What I’d like is a place on the journal where my friends and family can comment on what I wrote. I think that is the only thing missing from the journal page. I have recieved a ton of emails from my friends about things I’ve posted on the journal - but it would be nice for them to be able to leave it under the journal entry so everyone can see!
Just a suggestion!
