Easter Designs now Available
Today is officially Saint Patrick’s Day and we figured it would be a great time to release the new Easter themes.
Easter 1: A more traditional Easter theme. The top header features children on an Egg hunt with other areas of the design mixed with hidden treasures. This design is available to all TotSites members. (We will be adding floating flowers in the next couple days.)
Â
Easter 2: If you like a more lighthearted design – this Easter theme is for you. Not only do several areas of the site randomly change, you have the choice from a “blue” and a “pink” version depending on your taste. As a final touch, you can choose to have colorful easter eggs floating on your site.

Hope you enjoy the new designs! Please leave any feedback you might have either here in the blog or send us an email.

hi,
On the Easter 2 design, in my opinion it seems a little repetitive to have the name at the top of the page and also above the opening picture. Just a thought. Thanks for the 2 design choices.

Hello Thi-Anh,
Thanks for the heads up on the duplicate name/header. We went ahead and updated the Easter design to only show one!

Thank you for the Easter pages. I like to change the background at least once a month and this is great. I would like to suggest something different for each month. Possibly a mothers day themed page for momma’s little boys/girls, same for fathers day, daddy’s little buddy/little girl. July, 4th of July theme with fireworks. August, pool party/BBQ, Sept., Labor Day, American flag, etc. I love the website and look forward to many more years of documenting my twins website. Thank you for everything!

Hi Brian
Great Job !!!!
Yes, it will be a great idea to have a Mother´s day theme, and for dad, too.
I am certain that you will do it for us.
Thanks again for your continue support!!!

I would love to have backgrounds without themes. I just want some basic artistically designed and also just plain dual colored backgrounds that you can customize the way you want. For example, be able to display the name with different fonts, sizes and colors; be able to change the colors of the fonts on any page; be able to add something falling down the page (for example if you had blue and brown, maybe some blue and brown small pocadots could fall down the pages and have an option to have it on only certain pages). Also, maybe some animations to add to pages would be really neat. I think the theme idea is really good for some people, but not all. I would love to have a blue and brown background for mine with some similar options that I already mentioned. This is a really big combination of colors right now and I plan on doing my baby room in these colors. So, it would be great to have that on my website so that when people ask what my colors are I can just direct them to my website. Just some thoughts and ideas. Thanks for this website, my family and friends are glad they can be a part of this experience with us.

I am happy to see the new Easter designs available. When do you expect to have the floating flowers up and running? Also, is there any prospect or possibility that you will be adding floating bunnies or something a little less feminine? I did have one suggestion: I was hoping that the Easter design wouldn’t be quite so similar to the March / St. Patrick’s Day theme. The layout is very similar, but the colors changed somewhat. Overall, SUPERB job!
Thanks.

Hello Michelle,
The flowers are now available for the Easter 1 theme!
I also wanted to respond to Andrea’s comment. Over the last couple months we have received several requests for the ability to add a “custom” design including backgrounds, colors and other design elements. We will be looking to add this feature with our next major release. Please keep sending in your requests! The more feedback we get the better.

The site design options are all really fun and there are some great suggestions about customizable pages. Just wondering when you might add some alternate holiday themes like Hanukkah and Passover.
Thanks!

Wonderful Job!
I too like to change my page often, at least once a month and would love to see different designs for each month of the year. I have to say I hoping to see a “It’s a Boy†or “It’s a Girl†page soon as I am due in just a couple of weeks! You could even add little falling pacifiers, baby bottles or rattles! Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Now that Easter is over I am desperately wanting to change my theme. Will you be making a Spring theme or Mother’s Day theme?
Comment by Monika — April 10, 2007 @ 8:51 am
Hello Monika,
A new Spring design is already in works. Keep a look out in the next week!

I love this site, and all of the different layouts! I saw some talk of a layout you can customize is that still a thought or no?? I would really love this!!!

Hello Amanda,
We indeed still have plans to create a generic theme that you can customize with a little CSS and HTML knowledge. There is no exact timeframe when it will be completed but it should be later this year.

I agree with Lily – a Hanukkah and Passover theme would be great!
