Days at the Lake

Lake Rat – that’s what we hope for Alex. He loves the water. We went on our first boat trip at Lake Norman on Saturday before Memorial Day. After getting comfortable in his life vest, Alex was AWSOME! He was wearing a very cute purple swim outfit that our friend Cindy gave to him. We went out again on Sunday and stayed all day from 12-5pm. Alex never complained.
He got in the water the 3rd time out. He kicked his feet an splashed around- He is a natural! Might try skiing or knee boarding next time out… just kidding… really, tubing… hehe…

Alex has his first tooth. He is only 4 months and a couple of weeks old. I would love to say we spotted it first, but we didn’t. Alex’s daycare did. We knew he was trying to cut his teeth (drool, drool, and more drool).
Alex has been so good. He didn’t complain at all. He is absolutely the cutest baby ever with his front bottom tooth. Alex is playing and re-discovering his tooth every day.

Wow, our first Steeplechase as a FAMILY!
The day started with lots of traffic. It took us almost 2 hours to go about 10 miles. Alex was his happy self and slept most of the way there. Can't say the same about his Mommies.
Once we arrived we realized that we have over packed: stroller, cooler, tent, diaper bag, etc. But we managed to get everything to our picnic spot. We setup Alex’s tent as the day was hot, so kept Little Alex cool with a small fan. Alex looked so cute in his plad shorts and a polo shirt, perfect Steeplechase attire.
We watched to horse races – some horses lost their riders – pretty funny (no one was hurt).
What a wonderful day we had!

Is it football season yet? because Alex is ready! he is 10 weeks old and can sit straight in his seat.

Today we took Alex on his first trip to the mall. He got hungry on his way there. We fed him in the car and he slept while we got some lunch, but after that, it was ON. He had a complete meltdown and we couldn't calm him down for awhile. We did spend a couple of hours at the mall with him sometimes being fussy, sometimes totally content. Will try it again soon.

WOW.....day 9 of work...still way to tuff to leave the little guy....BUT he gets cutier every miniute of every day.....lucky gramma is taking care of him. WE ARE SO LUCKY!!
