Well I am still sick :( My ear infections have gotten worse
and I have to take a new kind of medicine. Hopefully this will get me
better soon. Didn't do much this week since I have been so fussy. My
class did have a Christmas party on Friday. Mommy & Daddy even came
to celebrate with us. We had "Special Circle Time". It is pretty much
circle time, but with everyone's parents. Ms. Sanders read to us, we
sang songs, and even got to play with the bells. We shake the bells
while all of the teachers sang. It was a lot of fun. Afterwards there
was snacks. It was a lot of fun. I even got a present. It is a book
called Jingle. I really enjoy playing with it. I just might turn out to
be a book worm like my Daddy after all. After the party I got to go
home early with Mommy. I didn't feel good the rest of the weekend so I
was rather lazy. Yesterday Mommy took me to the doctor and I got some
new medicine to hopefully make me better. I am already feeling better
today. I was actually smiles when I woke up. Sorry this is such a short
post, but not much to say unless you want a wonderful story about my
running nose and the stuff that comes out of it. Next week will be a
better post. Santa comes Thursday night. I can't wait to see what
goodies I am going to get and to celebrate the season with family. It
is going to be a busy couple of days, but I am going to rest up and be
ready to go with bells on. I will make Mommy post pictures so don't
worry about that.

I have not felt very good this week. Thursday Ms. Sanders called
Mommy to say that I had been really fussy and unhappy. She wasn't sure
if I was teething or if I might have an ear infection. I had been
playing with my ears a little more than normal. Mommy called the doctor
and came and got me. Sure enough I have a double ear infection. It is
not that bad so I am on antibiotics to make me get better. I have to
take them twice a day and it is not my favorite part to say the least.
They flavored it grape, but I much prefer my grape Tylenol to this
stuff. Other than that I have been a pretty good baby. I haven't fussed
much other than that one day. So hopefully it is working and I will be
100% soon. I have to be! Santa is coming and I can't be sick when Santa
comes.
Saturday was a very long day...day of shopping that is. Mommy
was dead set on finishing all of her Christmas shopping. Grammie and
cousin Jake even came. We shopped for 6 hours. We didn't get it all
finished like she wanted, but we are almost there. That night I even
got to help wrap the presents. Well I sat in the floor with Daddy
attacking everything while Mommy wrapped, but it was fun. Sunday Mommy,
Daddy and I went shopping again. This time I had more fun because it
was for toys. There was a lot of pink stuff bought. I didn't get to
play with any of it when I got home, so I wonder who it was for. It
looked like a lot of fun. Maybe I can wiggle into the play room and
play with it before Mommy notices. hehehe Later that day I went to my
first Christmas Party. Daddy's friend Todd was holding a Dirty Santa
Party and I got to go. There were several other kiddos there and I had
a lot of fun playing with them. The other little girl Mary Katherine
played with me and it was a blast! Then we came home and I was ready to
go night night.
I have been perfecting my technique of the army crawl also. I
can rally move now. I can follow Mommy from the living room to the
kitchen and get into the dog food bowl about 30 seconds after she
passes it. I keep hearing the word No when I get a handful of dog food.
Not sure exactly what it means, but I hear it a lot more now. Daddy was
saying something last night about figuring out a better way to carrel
me. What can I say, I am a girl on the move. My Mommy never sits still
so why should I? It is a lot of fun. I am getting a little better about
getting on all fours to crawl, but it is much quicker and easier on the
hardwoods to army crawl. Plus I am helping Mommy clean buy dusting the
floors. I love being mobile, just not sure how my parents feel about
it. Tomorrow is Daddy's birthday. I think I heard him say he is getting
old. He is older than me so I guess he is. I can't wait for him to open
my gift. I think he is going to like it. Well I better get back to
playing. Ms. Sanders will want me to take my nap soon.

All I can say is I am stuffed and tired. Thanksgiving was so much
fun! Mommy came and got me early on Wed and even bought me two new
outfits for the holiday. Thursday we went to Grammie's for lunch.
Everyone was there, Grammie, Paw Paw, Aunt Julie, Uncle Jason, Cousin
Jake, Aunt Lue and Cousin Brian. It was a lot of fun as I got to play
with everyone. Paw Paw held me while we ate and I got to try some new
goodies. Paw Paw let me have some cranberry sauce, still not sure what
I think about that stuff. Then I got something I really loved...I got
to drink tea out of a real glass. Paw Paw said I wasn't getting any,
but I liked what I tasted. I really enjoyed chewing on the rim of the
glass. We had fun spending time with everyone and then headed home
after a very full day. Friday we just hung out around the house and
played. Saturday we went and had my 8 month photos. You can find them
in the photo section. My normal photographer Jackie quit last week, so
we had a new girl. Mommy didn't like her as much, but the pictures
turned out okay. Sunday we went to Nana's house. It was a lot of fun
too. Nana, Pa, Aunt Jess, Uncle Jay, Cousin Houston and Cousin Morgan
were all there. I loved getting to play with everyone. I even showed
them how I love to crawl (army crawl) towards things, especially soda
cans.Monday we got up early and went to Birmingham for Daddy's dentist
appt and then came back and I had to get my second flu shot. I really
don't like shots, but I got over it really quick. I loved being home
with Mommy and Daddy the last 5 days and hated having to go to school
this morning, but I have missed playing with all of my friends.
I have been doing a lot of growing and figuring things out lately. I
can now crawl (army crawl) the entire length of the living room. I just
started today crawling on all four, but it is only like two steps and
then I fall to my tummy. I also love my Jeep walker. I can get some
speed and fly. It is really fun to chase the dogs. Gnash isn't to sure
about the game, but I love it. I still don't have any teeth, but the
teething has stepped it up a notch. Maybe one day I can say I have a
tooth. I can pull myself to the standing position also. I love to grab
things and pull up. I have been a very busy little girl. I also love to
touch the Christmas tree. Mommy has the ornaments to high for me to
reach them, but I like to touch the branches. I did get to hold one
ornament. Mommy didn't have it high enough, so I was able to get it off
the tree :)
It has been a busy wonderful week. I can't wait till Christmas. Each
holiday just keeps getting better and better, Christmas most be the
best! Well I better go, I have some water bottles to chase.

It has been another busy week. I had two wonderful trips to
Grammie's. Cousin Jake was there too. Thursday I got to visit while
Mommy had dinner with friends and again on Saturday when Mommy &
Daddy had a date. I had so much fun playing and eating :) See Jake got
to eat this stuff called Jello and I begged Grammie to let me have a
teeny tiny bite. I promised to be a good girl and not tell Mommy if I
could just have a taste. Cousin Jake was right, Grammie has this
spoiling thing down pat. She let me have a little bite and it was
GOOOOOOD! I gobbled it all up. Later I even got to taste fettuccine
alfredo. i got to have a tata (that's a bath) and play with a whole
bunch of toys. I even got to sit in Mommy's rocker that was hers when
she was a baby. It was a very fun visit.
I also have been working on ways of getting around. I have
mastered the whole rolling thing, but I have seen my classmates moving
around on their stomach. I think it is called crawling. I have mastered
the arms and can army crawl as Mommy calls it. If I can just get the
legs to work at the same time. I am able to use my legs when I want to
stand. If I hold on to something I can pull myself up. It is a lot of
fun. I did it Saturday morning in my crib and Daddy even called Mommy
in to see. What they don't realize is, this is my plan so that I can
bust out of this mini jail they put me in at night to sleep in. Soon I
will come and go as I please.
This week I get to see all of my family for Thanksgiving. On
Thursday we will go see Grammie and Paw Paw and Sunday we go to TN to
see Nana and Pa. Halloween I got candy...which was good. Thanksgiving
is supposedly family and food, which is better. So I wonder what this
Christmas thing will be. What can be better than candy, family &
food? I guess I will have to wait and see.
Well I thnk I hear my crib calling my name. I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Well it has been a busy two weeks, so I apologize in my delay getting updates. I went and had my pictures made on the 7th and they turned out wonderful. Mommy loves how I always smile for my pictures. We did some shopping and had all types of fun. On Monday the 9th I had a procedure done that wasn't much fun. See I was tongue tied when I was born. It wasn't really bad as I could eat and everything without difficulty, but it could cause speak problems in the future. So Mommy and Daddy decided to have a procedure done where the doctor cuts the cord under my tongue a little so that I can move it around. I was not asked my opinion about having this done, but I am just they baby. I couldn't eat any solid foods after 12pm the night before but could have clear liquids until 2am. Lucky Mommy's milk is considered clear. Not sure why because it so does not look clear to me, but I was happy I could have the good stuff. Mommy got up at 1:30am and feed me in my sleep. I wouldn't be allowed to eat again till after the procedure and I can get fussy when I am hungry. We were at the Women's and Children Center at Huntsville Hospital at 6:30am. We were taken back and I changed into a little gown and was given a nice warm blanket. No it was actually warm. I think they put it in the oven or something. Remind me to discuss this with Mommy, I think all my blankets should be heated this way. A nice lady even brought me a toy to play with. I was very happy and played well. All the nurses kept saying how pretty and happy I was. Then a little after 8am Mommy had to let a nurse hold me and wait in the lobby while I went to have my procedure done. I don't remember a lot about what happened next. They put this mask thing over me making me sleepy, but I stay awake. It is one weird feeling. The next thing I know I am in another room with a bunch of strangers and I am ticked. I am hungry and want my Mommy now! The nurse went and got my Mommy and when she came in to recovery I informed her I was not happy about what had just happened. The nurse said it was most likely my "blowing" the gas off they had gave me. All I know if the red hair plus Marcum/Holden in my came out. I was redder than my hair. I finally calmed down a little and went to another room where Daddy joined us. I finally nursed and went to sleep. I slept most the day and am now back to normal. It has been strange having this thing that moves around in my mouth. It is a lot of fun to play with. I like to stick it out of my mouth. I also have found a new trick of clicking my tongue. It is a lot of fun. Other than that the week has been pretty normal and slow.
I hear another holiday is coming up called Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see what all fun stuff happens at this one. I haven't heard anything about candy, but supposedly a lot of food is involved. I know I will get to see both sets of grandparents for this holiday. I wonder if you dress up for this one too? This week I will get to see Grammie twice! She is watching me so Mommy can go to dinner with some of her old bosses and have a date with Daddy. I will be sure to fill you in on the wonderful adventures. Tonight we are having dinner with Ms. Debra so I guess I better stop typing and finish getting all my playing done before Mommy picks me up. I will write again soon. Promise.

I finally have figured out what all the excitement over Halloween
is. I got to dress up in my purple flower outfit and trick or treat my
neighbors Sue & Wayne. They got a really big kick out of me all
dressed up. They even gave me some chocolate, but I think Daddy ate it.
It was rather cold, so I only visited them. Mommy said next year I can
go to more houses and really rack up on the sweets. Cousin Jake came
over the go trick or treating too, but decided he didn't want to dress
up this year. He did help give out candy to all the other little kids
though. A couple of them scared him, so Daddy gave them candy instead.
We did not have near as many kids this year. Mommy said it had
something to do with all the trunk or treats going on. It was still a
fun time though. I was really good wearing my outfit and everything.
The next day we went over to Grammie's house and I learned why all my
friends really love Halloween. I got the whole dressing up thing, but
you can do that any day. It is the candy...that is the real reason. Paw
Paw let me have my first sucker. It was okay, tasted kinda like my
tylenol, but the tootsie roll....it is heaven. Paw Paw was letting me
suck on it and I decided it was so good, I bit me off a piece.
Apparently you are not suppose to bite tootsie rolls, as I was not
allowed any more after that. But it sure did taste good.
Other than that it was a rather calm and uneventful weekend. I
go for my 7 month pictures this weekend. Mommy still has problems
believing I can be that old. I am growing fast what can I say. Mommy
forgot the pictures again, so we will have to add them later. I hope
everyone is having a great week.

Week 29 posted on 10/27/2009
This weekend was a fun filled weekend. On Friday Mommy
came and got me from school early so that we could meet up with Daddy
and have dinner before the hockey game. That's right I went to my first
UAH hockey game this weekend. UAH played Western Michigan for the home
opener. It was a lot of fun. Once we got there I got to meet a lot of
Mommy and Daddy's old college friends. I really liked watching Mr.
Geoff. He talks/yells really loud so it was fun watching him. We found
our seats and the game started. I saw the PIKE's throw a really big
fish on the ice after the first UAH goal. It was really big, I think it
was bigger then me. I was told this was a tradition. I am fine with
that as long as they don't throw me on the ice :) I stayed awake the
whole game. I got to eat my sweet potatoes when I got hungry. I even
had a bottle, but I do no like it when they score while I am eating.
This makes me fussy. They should refrain from scoring until I am
finished with my bottle, thank you. It was a very fun night and I slept
all the way home and went straight to bed. Saturday we got to go to
another game. It was a lot of fun, very similiar to the night before,
just no fish :( I did get to meet someone really cool. I think his name
is Charger Blue. He is UAH's mascot. He was a great big blue horse that
walks on his back legs. Mommy wanted my picture with him so Daddy, me
and Charger Blue got our picture made. Daddy wouldn't let Charger Blue
hold me though. Apparently Charger Blue doesn't like to take baths so
Daddy said he was to dirty to hold me. Maybe next time.
Nana and Pa came and saw me too. They came down to go to Gander
Mountain and just had to come see me. It was a fun visit. I even got to
sit in Pa's new truck. It is hard to sit in though, I kept sliding on
the leather seats. It was really pretty. I think Pa really likes it too
:) Other than the normal that was my fun adventures of the week. School
is still going great, I am mastering the sitting up postion. Still not
crawling, but I am getting the idea. My teethers have been bugging me
again, but that nothing new. This weekend is Halloween and I can't wait
to go Trick or Treating. Cousin Jake is going to come over and go with
me since it is my first time. I know it will be a blast.
I will get new pictures up soon. Mommy left the camera at home for some reason. I will try to get her to post them soon.
I had Mommy hijack the pictures from Daddy's website :)

10-20-09
This has been a pretty calm week. Nothing really exiting happening. Mommy & Daddy think I might be trying to figure out how to crawl. See when I am sitting up I will lunge for a toy or remote. Sometimes my hands are down in front of me and somtimes they are not. They have to be on the lookout to catch if my hands aren't down, because I get really mad if I hit my face on the floor. I roll everyehere now. if you put me down I will be in a different location when you look back :) I am really enjoying this being mobile thing.
I no longer have to drink that nasty formula. I am back to 100% Mommy's milk. It is a wonderful thing. I have been a little difficult the past week and a half as I keep waking up in the middle of the night and want to eat. So Mommy has not been getting all the sleep she says she needs, but I sleep wonderfully after my late night snack. I guess we will have to figure out a compromise. I don't know why she really needs to sleep 8 straight hours. I sleep in intervals and it works great for me.
This weekend I got two quick visits with both sets of grandparents on Sunday. First we went to TN and saw Nana and Pa. Daddy needed Pa to help him with something for the lawnmower. It was a fun visit. They are redoing their living room so everything looked different. I can't wait to play once it is finished. Then Daddy went to play hockey and Mommy and me had to run some errands. On the way home Aunt Julie called and wanted us to come over so she could see Mommy's new hair cut. I got to play with Grammie, Paw Paw, Aunt Julie and Jake. It was fun as always. Grammie feed me my dinner and gave me a bath. Jake wanted to play to so he got in the water too. He has a lot more toys to play with during bath time then me. Mommy normally only gives me my two frogs and dolphin. Jake had like 20 toys. I couldn't decide what I wanted to play with. As soon as I picked one toy up to chew on I saw another one that I really wanted too. Our tata was cut short though as I kinda went poo in the water so we had to get out. It wasn't my fault I am not really old enough yet to say "Excuse me I need to go potty now." It was still fun and I was all clean and ready for bed afterwards.
Well it is going to be another slow week. I don't think we have anything big planned. I let you know if anything good happens.
