Bailey had to have photo therapy under what was to all intents and purposes a sun lamp. He had shown signs of the onset of jaundice and the lamp was set up to break down some of the factors which brought on jaundice. His ventilation was good and the machine was set to a low level both in the frequency of his respirations and the oxygen content in the air he breathed.
