Edwin Dewey Boso, II's first tooth was on 10/15/2007

06/18/2007
At this age your baby may be able to bear some of his weight on his legs when you hold him upright, but he's still a long way from learning to walk.

Edwin Dewey Boso, II was named after his daddy (06/18/2007)

Week 36 (35 weeks complete) 02/27/2007
Researchers at Wake Forest University found that women in labor between noon and 6 p.m. received longer epidural relief from labor pain than women who labored between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. All the women were first-time pregnancies and received the same amount of the spinal-epidural medication. Researchers believe this is due to the body’s natural rhythms that affect sleep cycles, hormones and perceptions of pain.

Week 32 (31 weeks complete) 01/30/2007
Your baby is continuing to grow. His toenails and fingernails have formed. The lungs are continuing to mature but will not reach full maturity for several more weeks. Your baby’s skeleton has completely formed, but his bones are very soft and pliable.  The circumference on your baby's head is increasing, thanks to rapid brain development. The growing brain actually presses on the skull as it expands and creases into new folds. The hair on top of his head is growing, although it may be sparse.

Week 31 (30 weeks complete) 01/26/2007

He is practicing gazing, has hair on his head, and toenails. Most of his lanugo has disappeared. Hus brain is already capable of memory, learning, and processing sights and sounds. His internal systems and tissues are more complex.

Week 30 (29 weeks complete) 01/16/2007

As your baby continues to grow, he/she takes up a larger portion of your uterus. You may not feel that your body can handle your growing baby, but it will compensate by allowing your uterus to extend underneath your rib cage.Your baby’s eyes are becoming more mature, and now he/she can tell the difference between light and dark. Babies at 30 weeks can even follow a light source with their eyes. Once your baby is born, he/she will spend a great deal of time with their eyes closed. This is completely normal. Newborns only have the ability to focus on objects a few inches from their face. While “normal” adult vision is 20/20, a newborn’s vision is 20/400.*

Your child is starting to fill out now and resemble a newborn. He's thin but growing quickly. The production of red blood cells has switched from the spleen to the bone marrow. Your baby's brain becomes increasingly wrinkled -- and sophisticated. The more grooves it has, the more it can do!

Week 27 (26 weeks complete) 12/27/2006
  • He has eyelashes on his eyelids, his eyes can move in their sockets, and he can distinguish light and dark, but he cannot discern specific objects yet.
  • His senses are becoming fine-tuned and more responsive to light, sound, taste, smell, and touch.
  • His skin is becoming smoother as body fat accumulates beneath the skin.
  • His brain is developing further, and he can direct breathing movements.

Week 26 (25 weeks complete) 12/20/2006
  • Approximate length 14 inches, weight 2 to 2.5 pounds.
  • Babies will kick most frequently in the seventh month, usually at night and early morning.
  • His eyelids have opened.
  • His lungs are capable of breathing in air. The alveoli begin secreting "surfactant," which keeps them from collapsing.
  • At this point, he is only taking in small breaths of fluid in the womb, but he could survive and breathe outside the womb with medical assistance.

Week 23 (22 weeks complete) 11/28/2006
  • Blood vessels develop in his lungs, and his plugged nostrils begin to open.
  • By this week, his hearing will be developed enough to respond to outside sounds and voices, and he may jump at sudden noises.
  • Capillaries are starting to develop underneath his skin, giving him a more pinkish color.
His hiccups will become stronger and more frequent in the coming weeks. They do not bother him in any way or cause him discomfort      Cool
