| Talon's 1st REAL haircut 05/23/2009 |
| Talon had his first REAL haircut at the salon at almost 1 years old. He had so much hair in the front, and on top, it was getting in his eyes. We took him to the hair salon where the kids can sit in a car instead of a normal haircutting chair. Talon chose the race car. He was having a good time while waiting for the stylist to get ready. However, soon as she sprayed his hair with water and started clipping, Talon started to cry. His cry was more of a scared cry. He had big crocodile tears running down his face while placing his hands near his ears to stop her from cutting. As Eric filmed the experience, I was trying to distract Talon with his favorite toys. Although the tears didn't stop until she was finished cutting, Talon's first haircut looked great. You can now see his face and big eyes! He looks like such a little boy with his new haircut.

| When we ask Talon to say "bye-bye", he will say "ba" and sometimes "ba-ba". Usually it's a delayed "ba" but he knows how to use the words in context.

| I Started Crawling 02/18/2009 |
| At 8 mos. and 4 weeks old, Talon started crawling for the first time. Talon has been very mobile for the last month or so with his "army crawl" or what the books call, creeping. Talon has been able to get to the toy, object or place he wants by creeping. But tonight was the first time he got on all fours and crawled. It was very exciting.

| When I was feeding Talon dinner, he suddenly started to cry even though he continued to eat. I took him out of his high chair so he could calm down and get distracted with something else. He was drooling a lot and putting objects into his mouth so I felt around (with a clean finger) to see if I could feel teeth...and I did! I could feel some in the back. Then about a week later I saw his 2 front teeth coming in the front. The moment I saw the front tooth, I realized how quickly Talon is growing up. I remember when he was a 5 lb. 12 oz. little baby.

| Talon's 1st plane ride 11/21/2008 |
| Talon's first plane ride was on Friday, November 21. Talon, Eric, GiGi, Pops and the entire Bartholomew family flew out to Phoenix to visit Shane, Katie, Vaughn and Lemmon family. Talon did such a great job - no crying! In fact, he was so good he got his picture taken with the pilot. Even on the way back home, Talon did not cry nor fuss.

| Talon has found his feet and toes. He likes to curl up in a ball so he can reach them. It keeps him occupied (for just some time).

| At 4 months old, Talon is rolling over from his back to his belly on a regular basis. Occassionally he will get frustrated when he's on his belly, so then we have to flip him back. Talon has also slept on his belly a couple of times. I don't get much rest though because I keep checking to see if he's breathing -- it worries me when he's on his belly, face down.

| Talon slept through the night last night. It was Eric's turn to do the night feeding. When Eric woke up at 4am he checked on Talon. He was still sleeping. Eric thought that I might have fed him, but in fact Talon slept right through the night and didn't wake up until 6am.

It's a boy and he's already a Giants fan. In fact little (1lb 7.5in) baby boy Clark went to his first Super Bowl today in Phoenix. Boy is he going to be pissed when I tell him what he couldn't see. Oh well at least he heard it!
