Baby Clark likes it when the Giants win!! posted on 01/13/2008
Baby Clark is loving life today as the Giants just rolled over Dallas in the NFC Divisional Playoff game. One more game to go and we'll be heading to Arizona for Super Bowl XLII. Baby Clark can't wait, he/she is extremely excited for next week’s big game against Uncle Jason’s favorite team the Green Bay Packers. Sorry Jason but Favre should've hung it up last year. It's going to be tough for the guy to go this far to only be knocked out of the Playoffs in the NFC Championship game. Go G-Men!!!!

Maternity Clothes Shopping posted on 01/05/2008
So I decided to bite the bullet and go maternity clothes shopping. My mom and I went up to South Coast Plaza for a day of girlie shopping. We first started at Mimi Maternity and well, spent over 3 hours in the store! We slowly went through each rack and piece of clothing to pick out and place in the dressing room. I think that was an hour in itself! The nice lady that was helping us told us we were now spilling out of the dressing room and placed clothes on another rack. So, we decided it was time to try on the clothes. The dressing rooms come "equipped" with a pillow belly that you strap on around you to add an additional 3 months. I put the belly on and laughed because it was hard to imagine I would look this big. My mom and I had so much fun that time quickly passed. We found some really great outfits! We then decided to call up my dad to meet us for a late lunch. We needed a shopping break! But then we were quickly back to the maternity shopping. We decided to check out Pea in a Pod. Again we combed through the store looking for cutesy outfits. We spent about 2 hours in Pea in a Pod before realizing it was getting dark outside. It was a blast and not to mention a bit of an eye opener that I really am pregnant. I am still wearing my clothes (and I will as long as possible!) but I do have some fun and cute outfits that I can't wait to wear and show off my belly! Thanks mom!

Happy New Year! posted on 01/01/2008
Eric and I rang in the New Year by eating at the Yardhouse (we have eaten there the last 3 years) and then going to Phil & Lisha's "Martini Madness Party." That's right, Martini! So that meant I was DD, lucky me. Eric shockingly was well-behaved and didn't drink TOO much. (Thank you!) It's very difficult going to a (New Year's Eve) party and not being able to even have a sip of alcohol. Don't get me wrong, I'm not an alcoholic. It's just a different way of "partying" now. I know it will be worth it in the end, though. Before the night was over, we quickly said goodbye to our friends, wished them a Happy New Year and called our neighbors to see if they were still up. NOTE: Frank and Tammy, who live across the street from us have 3 adorable kids. Eric plays with them all the time. We told the kids we would be over soon as we got our pots and pans and in to our PJs. We counted down the new year with the kids, Frank and Tammy and ran outside banging pots and pans, literally ringing in the new year. I'm sure we woke up some neighbors but boy was it fun...and it brought back memories. Don't you remember banging pots and pans on New Year's? Happy New Year! This is going to be a memorable year for not only us, but my parents. They are going to be grandparents twice-over. Shane & Katie due in March and Eric & I in June. May 2008 bring love, friendship, memories and most of all health!

Sick But Pampered posted on 12/28/2007
The last few days I spent in San Diego for the Wiener Nationals Final race and Holiday Bowl parade. Due to being on the go, outside in the cold and not getting enough rest, I caught the flu (or something of the sort). I was unable to sleep the night before so I didn't get out of bad until 9am. Luckily I had the day off from work. Eric was concerned that I was sick so contacted my parents to come visit me. My mom and dad showed up with pizza, salad and cold medicine. Boy did I feel pampered! I have great parents!

Christmas Day posted on 12/25/2007
We woke up Christmas morning at my parent's house. Before Shane & Katie came over at 10am, Eric and I opened presents from Paula & Bob. We got more baby gifts, including a baby MP3 player. Our baby is going to be technically advanced and up with the trends! When Shane and Katie showed up we quickly ate breakfast so we could open presents. After ripping through all the gifts, my mom prepared lunched while Katie and I talked for the next couple of hours. Katie is also pregnant; she is due March 3, so we talked about baby stuff. Guy & Marcie came over for lunch and we opened more gifts. We left my parents house after a full day of Christmas fun!

Christmas Eve posted on 12/24/2007
We spent Christmas Eve in Alta Loma and Rancho Cucamonga. First, we went over to Dan & Carol's house for a late lunch along with the Finney family. Tracy and I cooked lasagna with all the accompaniments (bread, salad, etc.) since Carol is still tired from her recent surgery. We celebrate Christmas by opening presents, chit-chatting and watching football before going over to one of Carol's sister's house. Carol and Tracy gave us our first baby gift! We all then drove over to Jamie & Jerry's (Eric's aunt & uncle) house for a family Christmas and gift exchange. Because Carol is one of 9 (siblings), there were a lot of people! Most of the relatives we had not seen since our wedding, about 4 years ago, so it was difficult remembering who was who! But we thoroughly enjoyed catching up with everyone as well as sharing our news.
