Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas posted on 12/05/2008
Halloween was good. Claire dressed up as Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. She has a crown and all. She looked so beautiful. I'll post a picture of her later. We went trick or treating in Port Neches, and then went to Awna D and Geezer's. I was sick all that day, so I couldn't really enjoy it like I wanted to. It was Claire's first time to go trick or treating so I sucked it up and went anyway.
For Thanksgiving we went to my Gammy and PawPaw's house. It was good. I love spending time with my family where I feel totally comfortable and can say anything and not have to worry about it. Kev was sick with a head cold though so we left at about 5 or 6pm
Kev and I are super excited about Christmas. This is Claire's first Christmas that she gets it, and she is excited about opening Christmas gifts. Claire and I went shopping together for Daddy. She got to pick out a gift for him. I can't wait!

A lot has happen! posted on 10/11/2008
I can't even remember the last time I updated this blog. We have a new blog at http://sarahfruge.blogspot.com. This site isn't free and blogspot is. Check it out if you get a chance.
Claire turned 2 in August. She's doing great. She loves to run, play, and watch movies. At the moment her favorite movies are Hairspray, Enchanted, and Sleeping Beauty. We watch all three at least once a day!! :) Her hair is super long. It's down to her bottom now. Kevin keeps telling me it's time to cut it, but I can't do it yet. It doesn't look bad so I'm not going to worry about it now. She's a happy little girl for the most part. She will come up to Kev and I randomly and give us love and tell us that she loves and misses us. It's too cute!! She's our little angel.
Kev starting working for Flowserve in May and is contracted out at Goodyear in Beaumont. He loves the people he works with. The job is good, and it's nice to have money and be able to put some in saving.
I am good. I am watching a friend's baby Monday-Friday. She is a teacher at the elementary here in Vidor. I've been watching Gianna since she was 6 weeks old and now she is over 3 months. She's such a good baby. She almost never cries. She just looks at you and coos and smiles. She's so precious! I though Claire would be jealous, but she has done so good with her. She loves "Baby Anna". (That's what Claire nicknamed her) Now everyone calls her that.
Life is going really good with our little family. I'm so thankful for that since everything in the world is a little chaotic now. We had Hurricane Ike come visit our house and caused a little damage. Claire's room had water damage that put water spots all over her ceiling and soaked the carpet. There are water spots in most of the rooms in the house, and our roof needs to be completely redone. We also have some siding come off of the house and the skirting got messed up. We are really bless though. A lot more people had it way worse than we do. We are definitely counting our blessings.

Sorry... posted on 06/19/2008
I am so sorry it's been so long since I have updated the site! We have been really busy with a bunch of little things going on.
Father's Day was great. I got Kev a 50" TV and an autographed book by Glenn Beck. Kev also ordered front row seats to see Glenn Beck live in Houston in July. We are SUPER excited about that!
We have begun to remodel our home, starting with painting. Kev has a friend he went to Lamar with who works at Sherwin Williams so we got some paint Monday. We painted the guest room a blue color Tuesday. Then Wednesday I painted Claire's bathroom a gold color. This weekend we will paint Claire's room green. I am shocked we picked such bold and bright colors. I like them a lot though. We will eventually paint the whole house and put in new carpet in the bedrooms and living room. We also plan to remove the carpet from the bathrooms and replace it and the kitchen floor with new tile. The floor in the kitchen is white, and I hate it. It ALWAYS looks filthy even right after I mop it. We will also get new window treatments for the whole house. I can't wait to see the end result.
Claire's doing great! I can't believe she'll be 2 in less than two months. It blows my mind. She is so sweet. She tells me she loves me all the time. she'll randomly come over and hug and kiss Kev and myself. She's great! Her hair is crazy long. It's like two inches from being at her behind. Kev has tried to talk me into cutting it a few times, but he hasn't been able to convince me yet. :)

Mother's Day posted on 05/14/2008
I just want to wish everyone a belated Happy Mother's Day. It's been busy around here so I haven't been able to update as often as I would like.
Kevin graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology on the 10th of this month. I am so proud of him. He ended his college career with a 4.0 GPA for the last 2 semesters. He's amazing!
My Mother's Day was great. Kev got me an elliptical about 3 weeks before Mother's Day. I've been working out like crazy and have lost 10 lbs in the last month or so. I gave myself 5 months to get back down to my pre-prego weight. So far, I'm right on track. Yea! I also got a Genna De Rossi purse from JC Penney. It's a $69 purse that I got for $35. Quite a bargain! :) I also got a shirt Tennis shirt designed by Venus Williams from Steve & Barry.
Claire is doing great. She talking with real words a lot more. She can count to 6. :) I have recently started to teach her her ABC's. She's up to C. Her hair is SO long. Kev says she needs a hair cut, but I just can't handle that yet. :) She is so beautiful. I swear she could be a model. I might be a tad bias, but only a tad!

"Workin at the Carwash!" posted on 04/17/2008
A couple days ago I decided to wash my car since I hadn't washed it since I got it 2 years ago. Pretty bad, huh? Anyway, a month or so ago Mom got Claire a Dora swimsuit so I decided to put her in a Little Swimmer and her swimsuit to see how she would react to getting wet with the water hose. I was presently surprised. She loved it!! She ran around laughing hysterically every time I sprayed her. She helped me wash the car. She would carry the bucket around the car as we washed, she washed the car with her own wash cloth, and she even helped me spray it down with the hose. It was so cute! I have a video of her in her swimsuit and a lot of pictures of the experience. It was to die for!

SparkPeople... posted on 04/14/2008
On Thursday I started what is called SparkPeople. It's a website created by the man that started ebay. He's put 5 million dollars of his own money into it and has many sponsors that put money in it. Because of this it is free. It is the BEST weight loss site on the net! You can track your calorie intake, your exercise, how many cups of water you are drinking that day. All you have to do is type in the food you ate it tells you how many calories. Then you can put in what exercise you have done and it calculates how many more calories you have to burn that day. It's awesome. There's also message boards to get motivation from other people. There are many groups to join. For example I am in the Houston Astros Fan Group, The Biggest Loser Fan Group, and the Under 21 years old and Wanting to lose between 20-40 pounds Fan Group. Everyone wanting to lose weight or live a healthier lifestyle should check it out, and if you need help with it I would be glad to help.
On another note, Kev received a phone call Friday on his way home from work from the boss at Flowserve in Port Arthur. He told Kevin that he didn't want to interview him he was going to skipped that and send him an offer Tuesday. Yea! We'll see how much they offer Kev and if we like the offer then our plans are to stay in Vidor for a year or two to pay off our trailer, car, and student loans, and save up for a down payment on a house. Then we will more than likely move to Port Neches or Nederland. If they weren't going to offer him a job we were probably going to move to Houston. We like this better because we can get bills payed and not jump into buying a house. Pray for a good offer!

Much Better... posted on 03/31/2008
So after Claire had a couple days of being mental and tripping out about everything I decided to call the doctor to see if I should take her off the Claritin (I thought the Claritin was the cause). They called me back and all they said was, "Well, if you think that's what's causing her to have tantrums I guess you can try taking her off." I was very disappointed with that. I'm so close to switching doctors. Anyway, so I took her off the Claritin and she's been WAY better!!

"Cause you had a bad day..." posted on 03/27/2008
Yesterday was a VERY bad day at the Fruge' household. The first thing that happened that morning is that every time I tried to change Claire's diaper she would trip out. She hates getting her diaper changed. So I sent her to her room, dirty diaper and all. About half an hour later she came out happy and we shared a bowl of cereal. After that I decided we needed to change her. Of course, she tripped out. I put her diaper that was filled with poo to the side to wipe her bottom and in her anger she grabbed it and slung tit everywhere, getting poo all over her and a little on the floor. I sent her back to her room after cleaning up. Oh that's not the end of it.
That's not even the worse part. So after lunch at noon I wanted to brush her teeth. I always brush them first and then let her "finish." Well SHE wanted to do it all so she screamed and held her breath, first making her lips turn blue, then her cheeks, then her whole face and finger tips. And if that wasn't enough she started seizing. I snatched her up and shook her a little. After a few seconds she started breathing again. It was very traumatic for me to say the least. After her episode she slept for like 3 1/2 hours. Later that day after Daddy got home she tried to hold her breath 2 more times out of anger. We would blow in her face though and that would make her take a breath. This better not be a new thing she's going to do everytime she doesn't get her way. If so, I'm not going to look good for the next year or so.
