Today's appointment went great. I was in and out of there in less than 30 minutes! It was wonderful. Updates: my iron went up from 8.7 to 9.8, I lost 1 pound! :), my b/p looks great at 120 over 60, I am effaced to 80% and I am dilated to 1 cm. Everything looks great and after I go to the Odom Family Reunion this weekend I am not aloud to go anywhere out of the Port Neches/Nederland area. That's about it for now. I go in next Wednesday at 9am so I'll update then!

Well, my next appointment is tomorrow. Let's hope my iron is higher than it was last week. It was down to 8.7 last time. Also pray that I have progressed more. I'm hoping for some dilation! Everything with the house has gone good. We moved the porch and shed to Vidor on Saturday without any problems. We also got all the skirting off the trailer. It is suppose to be moved this week some time. I probably won't be in it for another week or 2 though because we still have to bomb the place for bugs, hook up water and electricity, put back up the skirting, and move stuff over there. A lot of work left! We're excited though. I'll update more tomorrow after my appointment. Wish me luck!

I just got back from my doc's appt. It went good. Mom went with me. We waited for 2 hours in the waiting room but once we were put in the room it went fast. I had my Group B Strep swab done and should have those test results next week or so. I was also checked for the first time. I'm not dilated any but I'm 70% effaced, which is good. Hopefully she'll come soon. Well, we are moving to Vidor. We got a great deal on a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom trailer. The trailer is in Tomball right now, but we're having it moved in the middle of next week to Vidor. We're really excited!! There are pics in the New House Gallery. We want Claire to come soon, but we also want to be settled in a bit before she comes. Well, that's all the news for now.

I had my baby showers. Everything was really nice. I got tons of great things that are needed. I want to thank everyone for their gifts and love. I really appreciate everything that has been done for our family. Kev and I went the hospital today to pre-register so that we won't have to worry about that later. Now all we have to do when I go into labor is bring our insurance card. Thanks again for the support. I plan to update again after my Dr's appt Thursday.

I went to the Dr. Wednesday. I was so swelled up, but he wasn't concerned because my blood pressure is perfect. My iron is down from 10.2 to 9.8 even with me on prescription iron suppliments. He's a little worried about that. I was suppose to get my Group B Strep test done and have an internal exam done for the first time, but they were out of culture swabs so I start that fun stuff next week. Everything else went well. We had family in from Tennessee this week. It was great to see them again. That's where I evacuated to when Rita hit. Um...my shower in Mid-County was last night. It went very well. We got a lot of great things for Claire. I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at the baby shower in Woodville!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July holiday. Kev grilled hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch, then we went to Kev's grandparent's house in Vidor and ate waffles, sausage, and bacon for dinner and then popped fireworks. It was fun. I was out way too late though. If I'm up past 11pm I am worth nothing now. It's crazy. Sleep is precious now a days. I'm up 20 times a night, and I wake up so sore. It's not good. 6 more weeks though. That's what I keep telling myself. Well, I'll post tomorrow if I have time after my dr's appointment.

Yesterday Kev and I drove to Lufkin for my nephew's, Hunter, birthday party. He turned 4 on June 28. It was a slip-n-slide party. It turned out great. It was raining all day from Port Neches all the way to Lufkin, so the drive in that wasn't much fun. Caryn, my sister in law, loaned my some baby items like a bouncer seat, a swing, and a sleeper. She also finished my scrap book. It is SO cute! She did an awesome job on it. There is a picture of the bedding we are going to buy in the "Things we've bought" photo gallery if anyone is curious. That's really all that's new. I have another dr's appointment on Friday, so I will post again then.
