Walking

Claire is walking now. After her Doctor said she would send her to a Physical Therapist I started working with her for like 3 hours a day. After about a week she started walking on her own. I'm so excited! She's doing so good now.
We took her to a house in Nederland where this old guy lives. Every year he puts up hundreds of thousands of lights up all over his property. There's a video in the Movie gallery of all the lights. It's amazing. Claire loved it so much. She was laughing and running around. It was so amazing to watch her. She is such a blessing. When I stop and think about her it takes my breath away how wonderful my life is when Kevin and Claire. I'm a very lucky wife and mommy.

The Dr's appointment yesterday went well. Claire got her second flu shot and one more shot. She did great. She was a happy camper the rest of the day, and I even forgot to tell Kev to give her Tylenol. The doctor said that Claire not working on her feet now is not a problem, but if she's not walking by her next appointment in February we might have to refer her to a Physical Therapist. We'll just continue to work with her here at home and hope for the best.
When Kev and I got off work yesterday we came home and raked leaves and put up the Christmas lights. It was fun. Claire loves the lights. As soon as I get a chance I am going to let her play in the leaves so that I can get pictures. That should be cute.

Thanksgiving was great. Kev and I decided to split the holidays up this year instead of hit all the spots for every occasion. It will cut down on gas. So, we spent Thanksgiving with Kev's family, mainly because Kev's brother Court smokes meat and Kev wanted some smoked turkey. A lot of family and friends were there. Kev and I were in charge of bringing corn and a dessert. I made an Orange Dreamsicle Cake. It was GREAT!

Claire now feeds her baby a bottle. She is so smart. She takes the top off and puts the nipple in the baby's mouth. She even holds the baby in her arms like you're suppose to. What a cutie!!

I brought Claire back to the Dr's today so that the doc could check Claire's ears again. We decided to go ahead and give Claire her first round flu shot. That was "fun". She'll go back Dec. 3 to get her 15 month shots and her last flu shot of the season.

Claire was a princess for Halloween. She wore a onesie that had a crown and princess Claire embroidered on it, a tu tu, and a crown. She was too cute. There are pictures in the photo gallery.
Claire did a puppet show for me that other day. I put some socks on her hands, and she thought that was the coolest thing. She loves to learn new things.
Claire stood up by herself for the first time on October 25th. The most number of steps she has taken is 3, and she did that on October 28th. Maybe she'll be walking in a week or two.

I got my hair cut and colored yesterday. I LOVE it!! It came out so good. There is a pic in the Sarah and Kevin gallery. The pic doesn't show it as good though. It's so modern. I've never had my hair done by someone who actually knows what they are going.
Claire loves to draw. When she finds a pen or pencil, even if the pen has a lid on it, she will find a piece of paper and color. I want to get her those crayola markers for babies that just came out. She'll love that!
