Claire's doing a lot better. Her nose is runny and she has a cough now. The fever's gone though. She's in the stage where she JUST wants mommy and nobody else. It's sweet but very annoying. I hope this phase passes by quickly. I can't get anything done around the house unless she's on my hip. She's still a keeper though.

Last night I noticed Claire felt really warm so I took her temp, and it was 102.5. I called Dr Ngo at the hospital where she was on call. She told me to give her Motrin and bring her in today. We got there at 9am, and Claire was still running a 101.5 temp. The nurse gave her tylenol. Claire has an ear infection in her right ear and is starting to get congested. Dr Ngo prescribed ear drops, an antibiotic, and a decongestant. Hopefully Miss Claire Baire will feel better later. She's really fussy but that's to be expected.

Claire is doing great. She can roll over from her back to her stomach now instead of just the other way around. She has started saying "la-la" over and over. She has also started saying "da-da" over and over. It's cute!! Now she needs to say ma-ma. :) She's getting too big. I'm glad though. I can't wait until she is able to walk and call me mama. I think then it will really hit me that I'm a Mom. I hope everyone has a happy Valentine's Day. Claire will be 6 months on that day!!

Our subscription for the website runs out in a couple day. I'm not sure if we're going to renew yet. Hopefully we will, and I can continue to have this for friends and family. We'll see. If not I'll try to open another website.

Claire and I have both been sick with colds these past couple days. Not good for both of us. Claire has not been sleeping well. She was up all night, literally all night, for 3 days. I'm exhausted. Maybe she'll finally sleep good tonight. I hope and beg. Claire had an appointment for her 6 month check up on the 15. I can't wait to see how big she has gotten. She has felt heavy lately. We'll soon see.

We finally found a veggie that Claire will eat, Peas! She makes a face when she eats them though. You can tell she doesn't care for them, but at least she won't scream or spit them out when she eats them. She has also started to sit up on her own. Yesterday I went to Wal-Mart and put Claire in the front of the basket and she sat there really well so when I got home I tried sitting her up on the floor. She stayed on her own for about 30 seconds. Then she toppled over. We're proud and sad at the same time. She's growing up. I guess it's inevitable.

Christmas went great. I hope everyone else had a great one. We received a lot of great things and appreciate our family and friends for their generosity.

Claire got lots of clothes, a stuffed lion that she loves, and a soft baby doll. Kev and I got clothes, a DVD recorder, and some other things.

Claire is getting so big. I just realized today that she has grown out of some things, so I have to clean out her dresser and put up what she can't wear anymore. We also had to buy a new bouncer because her's broke. The new one is a lot better though. It can play like 8 different songs, it vibrates, and it can lay down flat or sit up. It's really soft too. She seems to like this one more.

Claire's appointment well today. She has an oral medication given to her again and then the 4 shots. They stuck her with the first 2 and she had a stunned face. Then after a couple seconds she started crying. The cried all through the other 2. Once I pictured her up though she was fine.

Dr Ngo gave the ok to start her on solids so tomorrow she'll have rice cereal for breakfast time, mid day, lunch, afternoon, then she'll have carrots for dinner. She's doing so good eating from a spoon now.

Claire still spits up with the rice cereal, but it is not as much as she use to so I'm thanksful for that. I fed her 5 oz out of the bottle this morning and then the last oz from a spoon for the first time. It was so cute. She had rice cereal all over her face! She's growing up so fast.
