GO Gators!

Baby,
You just experienced your first Florida/Georgia game. Who knows what school you may go to one day, but today you were a baby gator. You must be good luck because Florida just crushed Georgia, which was nice considering last year. Tonight was a fun night, but last night you also went to your first Halloween party. Your mother dressed as the St. Pauli girl and your father was a big money pimp. Don't worry we will tell you what those are when you reach 18. Anyways since you don't have ears yet you probably didn't get to hear any of the game or the party, but trust me they were fun. We already have your costume picked out for next year and you are going to look great! We get to see your next ultrasound in a few weeks. See ya soon!

This morning we had our 3rd Dr's appointment and got to hear baby's heartbeat!!! It was amazing. It was going at about 167 beats a minute, which is healthy for a peanut our size. They even took baby's first picture... awww, you're having a blob! Little blob is half an inch now and growing more everyday. Doc says to expect worsening morning sickness but with all the happy news I guess we'll have to be ok with the bad too. Next appointment is November 25th!
more later,
Mama!

Morning Sickness sucks! I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. I know that it won't last forever but it sure isn't as much fun as they advertise!! So far symptoms include nausea, forgetfulness and general brain freezing, extreme exhaustion and a spidey sense of smell. Can't wait for the 2nd trimester! Other than all that though, things are going well and we are very excited to hear baby's heartbeat next Thursday :)

Good news from the doc visit. We did another ultrasound and this time (with better equipment and a tech who does this work day in and day out) we saw a YOLK SAC! I have no idea what that means, but the tech said it is good. Plus the doctor who did the original said that she saw enough on the pictures to where she didn't even need to perform the exam. We are incredibly relieved. Neither one of us has slept at all this weekend. It will be nice to go home and enjoy a little R&R escepically considering the huge event we have coming up this weekend! More updates to follow...for now sleep is required!

Well we had our first visit to the OBGYN today. They did an ultrasound, bloodwork (2x) and other exams. During the ultrasound we did see a sac, but the doctor said it was empty and there was fluid on one of the tubes that might mean the baby was embedded in the tube. New unpleasant word of the day = ectopic. When the bloodwork came back the doc called us and said the Hcg levels were at 6,000 and that those numbers were worrisome. Well needless to say we are nervous and scared that it could be ectopic. Doc set an appointment for Monday to check on the status of things. We will keep you posted!

Well we just found out this evening! Sarah was wondering whether or not she would be able to drink at Darren and Lauren's wedding so she took the test. Thanks Ebony Heather! As I was watching my football relaxed on the couch she came down and turned off my TV without saying a word. I knew something was either really wrong or really good. Since we had been trying for a month or so I was hopeful that it would be good news. Sarah simply looked at me, smiled with a tear in her eye and said it, "We're pregnant!" Needless to say we are excited, scared, nervous and very happy! Check back later for more info.
PS - Sorry for not telling everyone the second we knew, but we really wanted to see all your faces when we tell you and what better way to do that then at the wedding when we will have all of our friends and family together. Plus now no one will find out before anyone else! You all find out about it at the same time!
