22 weeks and moving along!! posted on 10/31/2008
I am 22 weeks today! YAY! This morning I had my normal check-up at the doctors to hear the baby's heart. Everything sounded and looked great. The doctor said the baby is measuring normal. YAY. However, there has been a significant weight gain in the past 4 weeks that he was concerned about.....and quite frankly so was I!! I put on 11 pounds according to them within the last 4 weeks. NO WAY! I don't even eat that much. I was shocked.....plus I don't feel like I look 11 pounds heavier than I did 4 weeks ago (Wes seconded my thought). The doctor recommended that from now on I limit my carbs and cut out all sweets. Yikes. I am going to have to rework my meals and not answer to my cravings. Wish me luck. This is going to be hard with the holidays right around the corner.
My next appointment will be December 4th! Our 4 year wedding anniversary. We will have our 3rd ultrasound that day as well as my glucose testing. I can't wait to see Rylee again. I will be one day shy of 27 weeks so I 'm sure she will look completely different than she did at 17 weeks.
Here's to new eating habits!! :)

Braxton Hicks? posted on 10/24/2008
Since about 20 weeks I have been feeling tightness in my belly about once a day with some becoming a little painful. This is a new experience for me since I didn't experience this in my first pregnancy. I thought they had actually stopped as of Wednesday (2 days shy of 21 weeks) but they returned Thursday night after Wes and I returned from the NC State Fair. This time they were coming about every 8 minutes and lasted for about 45 minutes. These were more crampy/painful. My assumptions is that they were brought on from me being on my feet all day at the fair running around. I have had a few today as well. My doctor's appointment is next Friday October 31st. I am planning on mentioning this all then. Hopefully they will say it is just Braxton Hicks.
Other than that my pregnancy has been going GREAT! Rylee is a very active little girl....especially at night. Since I'm always on the go with Presley being still wakes Rylee up.
I can't wait to move forward on her nursery! I have the bumper for her crib and a few art pieces that I am going to put on the wall. Hopefully I will have her room completed by the end of January. We have to wait to move the furniture into Rylee's room because Presley won't get her big girl bed until January. So much to do!! :)

19 weeks 5 days!! posted on 10/15/2008
I am currently 19 weeks and 5 days pregnant with Miss Rylee. Within the last couple weeks she has really started to become quite active. I love it. Wes and I both have actually felt the baby move on different occasions. It seems as though Rylee is sitting a lot lower in my belly than Presley did. I went walking the other night and it felt as though Rylee was going to fall out at any moment. Haha!! Not really though....there is just a lot of pressure more so than what I was expecting. I can't wait to see her and hold her in my arms. I wonder daily what she is going to look like. If she will look like me, Wes or Presley.
We are slowly beginning the process of working on her room. Right now it is still Wes's office. I think the transition will be a slow one since I don't want to bump Wes out of his office too soon. It is the only place in the house that allows him privacy to work from Miss Presley. ;)
I have started having dreams. They're always weird and don't make a ton of since. Last night I had a dream that I was induced at 20 weeks.....crazy. My sleep is getting a little better. I still have to work hard to doze off.
My next appointment is October 31st. I believe I will be going this one alone so that Wes can stay home and watch Presley.

A Sweet Girl!! posted on 10/02/2008
First let me say......I was right!!!! Yipppeee!
Wes and I are thrilled to say that we are having another little girl!! She was absolutely beautiful and so tiny. As soon as our ultrasound technician started it was very apparent that she was a girl. She was just breathtaking. I could have stared at her all day.
I was pretty nervous going into the appointment because I am always wanting everything to checkout ok. The technician said that she looked beautiful and that her measurements and weight were right on target. She is weighing in at 7 ounces! That is less than a cup of water. Her heartbeat was right at 141bpm.
Our technician was wonderful and offered to do the 4d ultrasound. She said the images aren't always the best but I have to say that my favorite is the photo of her hand where you can see all 5 fingers!
After the appointment Wes and I went and picked up Presley from Andrea's house and headed out for a family lunch to celebrate the good news.
I have so many thoughts. I have never had a sister before so I am curious and excited to watch sisters grow up together. Hopefully they will be close and still want to be close to me too! :)
We are still thinking of a name. I believe we have found one but, we want to rest on it a day or so just to make sure.
I am scheduled for a 28-30 week ultrasound to check a few things out that they didn't get to see on this ultrasound. This excites me because I will get to see her 4D and get the CD for free!! YAY!!
God is so good! What a blessing to have two little girls!
My next appointment is October 31st.

1 day and counting!! :) posted on 10/01/2008
Tomorrow is the BIG day!! We are getting so excited. I am ready to tell Presley if she is going to have a little sister or little brother. As always I am starting to get nervous. I just want everything with the baby to check out "ok." I will definitely post the ultrasound pictures tomorrow afternoon so you will have to stay tuned!!
I am currently 17 weeks and 5 days. The 2nd pregnancy seems to really be flying by. Everything is going great. I am really starting to show now which is exciting and I love maternity jeans....they are so comfortable. We have also started telling Presley that there is a baby in mommy's belly. She now lifts up my shirt and points and says "baby." At times she will even kiss my belly. It is adorable. We have also started asking Presley "how big of a big sister is she going to be?" and she raises her hands up really high and smiles. I think Presley is actually going to adjust well to a new little one being around. She loves little baby's and is not jealous at all when I hold a baby. YAY!!
We will begin the process of working on the baby's room once we find out if it is a boy or girl. Presley is going to stay in her current room and we are going to move all the baby furniture to Wes's office which will be the new baby's room. Wes's office is getting pushed to our bedroom. Poor guy. He is sucking it up though. We should only be in this house for 2 more years at the most so I think he can tough it out. He is a trooper. ;)
My appointment is tomorrow at 9:00am. My guess is still on a little girl. We shall see!!!
Happily Expecting!

Appointment & Feeling Baby posted on 09/21/2008
I was 16 weeks this past Friday (September, 19th). I have been feeling great and my belly is really starting to pop out. :) I had a doctor's appointment on Thursday. It was unscheduled but I had started spotting on Wednesday and wanted to go in and double check that the baby was doing fine.....and he/she was doing great. The heartbeat was right at 150 bpm. It was funny though because my doctor had a hard time keeping up with the baby. She asked if I felt the baby move and I told her I thought so. She wasn't surprised because she had such a hard time keeping the heartbeat on the doppler. This appointment just confirmed what I have been thinking since 15 weeks....that I can feel the baby move. This little one is seriously on the go between 8 and 10 in the morning and then starts back up at 7pm. It is crazy how active this one is and how I can already feel him/her. I love the feeling.
We are starting to tell Presley that there is a baby in Mommy's belly. I don't think she understands quite yet. She just repeats "baby" and goes off to find her little baby.
In less than two weeks we find out what we are having. I am so excited. I can't wait to start the planning process. Like I have said in early posts I do believe this is a little girl; however, I have been telling Wes that small thoughts of a boy have been entering my mind lately. We shall see.

2 Days Shy of 15 weeks!! posted on 09/10/2008
I am almost 15 weeks!! YAY! Everything has been going wonderful....the only thing I really have to complain about is the fact that I am not sleeping good at night. Hopefully that will start changing in the next few weeks.
I believe I am starting to feel the baby. There are random times I feel movement that does not feel like air bubbles. They are very similar to what I felt with Presley. I felt Presley move for the 1st time around 17weeks.
It is hard to believe I am already 15 weeks. This pregnancy is really flying by. I am so busy with Presley during the day that I don't really have time to think about the fact I am pregnant until she is in bed.
It will be interesting to see how the dynamics of taking care of Presley change as my belly grows. I have already contemplated how I am going to get Presley in and out of the car, pick her up out of the crib, hold her etc... with a belly in front of me. It will be interesting.
I am really looking forward to our October 2nd appointment. I am dying to know what this little one is. I still believe it will be a girl. To be quite honest....I will be really shocked if it is a boy because this pregnancy has been very similar to when I was pregnant with Presley. I will be thrilled with whatever we have.
I still have cravings which is really funny. I never really had them with Presley. This time around I am craving barbeque chips with a side of milk that has been chilled in the freezer. YUM! I also love french fries....but I always have so I don't know if that would be consider a craving or not. ;)
I will post more belly pictures soon I promise....I am just waiting until I show a little more. :)
