Oliver 1 Month Old posted on 13/11/2007
Well I must say we have had the greatest first month with little Oliver. He has started making sounds and is recognizing our voices and his own! He slept through the night for the first time on Nov.12th and slept for a total of 6 hours it was great I couldn't believe it!! Oliver is growing like a weed. He is starting to fill out his 1-3 month clothes and is wearing size 1 diapers. He really loves bath time and also enjoys lying on his change table and making faces at us! We have 2 more baby showers to come in the month of November. Last weekend my mom had a shower for me with family from my dads side of the family. She had a custom cake made from Mariposa Market with a special Scrap booking piece scanned into the icing, it was amazing. It was really nice having all my cousins together again who hadn't seen each other in 15 years for some. Pictures are now posted. Oliver is one month old today!!! Congrats sweetie pie!! Oliver has colic only he does not cry a ton like most babies, he mostly gets really sad and tight in the body. He scrunches up his legs and tries to pass gas and has no luck. So today we are taking him to the chiropractor to get his spine tapped. It is supose to loosen up the digestive system and help to cure colic sooner. He will get three treatments, so hopefully they work!

Oliver's third week posted on 05/11/2007
Well Halloween was great. Oliver fit into his costume quite nicely. Jordan had to work late that day, so my mom came in to keep me company and help hand out candy, we had quite a few kids stop by. I also took Oliver up the next street to visit my friend Grant who I had not seen since high school! Oliver is starting to fit into his little outfits and looks soo cute!! He had his first baby shower this past weekend at my parents house. My mom did a super great job! There was the most amazing cake with a vintage baby photo on it. Oliver received many awesome gifts and lots of clothes!! Thanks to everyone that was able to make it. Even my cousin Kristin made a special cake for the party shaped like a gum ball machine! Oliver had his first doctors appointment and it went very well. Dr. Harmathy thinks hes just perfect. He is gaining weight very well and now weighs 8.14 lbs. He even took his picture for his file. We discovered that Oliver is very strong, in a matter of maybe 10 seconds, when hungry has the ability to give what ever part he is sucking on a hicky!! see the pictures of my moms chin to back that one up!

Oliver's second week posted on 29/10/2007
Well Oliver has made a few trips out to my parents house to see my Dad, but he is still sick and not able to hold him, but at least he can see him from across the room and not feel totally left out. Oliver is doing a wonderful job at holding up his head!!! He has also started to follow sounds and turns his head from side to side to find the sound. He has a bit of focus but cant really see much yet, even up close it seems like he can see you but you know he cant really!! Soon enough he will be making eye contact and funny faces!!! He loves to smile alot when he is sleeping and eating!!! and when he has gas! This week has been a good week, I have had one day that was pretty rough and I felt like I couldnt do it and that I was going to break down , which i did in tears. But my mom was there to help out and cleaned the whole house for me! it was wonderful. Jordan went back to work this week and found it very difficult to leave little Oliver for an entire day!! So when Jordan calls on his breaks we put the phone to Olivers ear to talk and see if he recognizes his Daddy's voice. I would say the bonding between us all is great and he is loved by so many!! I just want to hug him forever!

Oliver's first week posted on 22/10/2007
Well the first week is over already. Oliver has changed so much already. He has 2 very differnt cries and hardly ever uses them!! He has one for hunger and one for gas thats about it!! He is an amazing baby!! Breast feeding is going very well. He really loves to eat LOTS wont take long before hes a big boy!! Jordan's parents came to visit us again and stayed overnight at a wonderful bed and breakfast that was only 3 houses down. My parents and grandparents also came for a nice visit, it was a full house!!! Everyone just loves Oliver and thinks hes just the greatest. My Dad is very sick with a cold and hasn't been to see Oliver yet. It is really hard for him not to see his new Grandson!!! Dad had flowers sent to me at the hospital because he was too sick to come and visit. Hopefully he will be able to hold him soon. Lack of sleep hasn't been to bad so far Oliver gets up every 2-3 hours to eat. He then eats for about an hour!! I have also started using the breast pump and have givin Oliver his first bottle which he seems to get the hang of but he is getting to much milk from the nipple, so I'm going to have to go bottle shopping and find ones that are slower for him. When my grandparents were here we took Oliver for the nicest walk in the park, first time using our stroller!! worked very well. Oliver had a great time sleeping and enjoying the fresh air, we also took some wonderful pictures which i have posted in the photo album area.

At home at last posted on 17/10/2007
Well I had to have a c section with Oliver because my hips were shaped in a way that wouldnt let the baby drop down into the birth canal. Also he was over 8 pounds which made it more difficult. I had to wait the full week of being overdue. Then the big day arrived on October 15th!! The night of the c section I had some very special visitors. Jordan's parents drove up from Hanover as well as my family who was also there. My friend Emily stopped in to see me also. Jordan was by my side through the whole thing. Oliver was born at 5:39pm and had a smooth entry to the world. Weighing in at 8.11 pounds and they thought he was 19.5 inches long. Turned out later on that he is really 22 inches!!! I had to wait quite a while in the recovery room. It took me almost 4 hours before I was really able to hold him. I was very emotional and upset by that time. Holding him in my arms was the best feeling in the world. I will never forget it. We were sent home on the Wednesday morning, not even 48 hours after he was born. The Doctor told me I was a fast healer and the baby was doing wonderful. So we were able to leave if we wanted to. The thought of being at home was so tempting, so home we went!!! Welcome to the World Little Oliver!! I love you soo soo much
