I've been so busy I haven't found time to update my website!  I still don't crawl the traditional way, but I can get to anything I want.  I do a combination of rolling, scooting and army crawling to get everywhere!  And just this week I learned how to sit back up after laying down.  I have been pulling up for a while now and I can walk pretty well with help.  I want to walk all the time now though and Mommy says her back hurts from bending over to help me all the time.  Daddy took me to Bass Pro Shop for the first time last week and I loved it.  We had a boys day and I loved looking at the fish in the aquarium!  I will be 11 months old this week and my first birthday is right around the corner.  I can't wait

Yep, I had the flu.  I went to stay with Nana, and she ended up having the flu.  Of course we didn't know that when I went to spend the night.  A few days later, I had a fever and a nasty cough.  The doctor confirmed it was definitely the flu, and then mommy and daddy ended up having it too!  We were all really sick and not feeling good.  My fever got up to 103 and it was no fun.  And then I couldn't breathe from all the congestion, which made it very hard to eat.  After I got sick, Nana was feeling better, so she came to take care of me so mommy and daddy could get well.  It was a rough week, but we are all finally feeling back to normal!  Thank goodness!!

I also cut two more teeth while I had the flu; my two front teeth.  It seems I always cut two teeth at one time.  Mommy says this is a good thing because all the teething will be over faster!

For those of you thinking about voting in the poll on the home page, I just thought I'd let you know that I am still not crawling.  I don't really see a need for it.  I can roll all over the floor to get something if I really want it.  But there really isn't anything I want that bad.  I sit up all the time now and I can stand up if someone puts me on my feet.  I really like the view when I'm standing.  If only I could figure out how to do it myself.  Mommy says she doesn't mind that I don't crawl.  She doesn't have to chase me around yet!  I talk ALL the time.  I can say mama and dada really well, but I say it even when I am not talking about those people.  I have four teeth now and I look like I have fangs!  Mommy says I'm her little vampire.  I am starting to cut more teeth now and it hurts.  I'm ready to be done and just have all my teeth.  Mommy and daddy are ready too!

Mommy says I am growing like crazy!  I can "talk" now in my own little language, but I tend to be shy in a big group of people.  At home I am constantly saying yayayaya and mamamama and babababa.  I can also sit up by myself for a short period of time now.  I get off balanced if I try to reach for something though.  I scoot around on my back all around to try and get the toys on the floor.  I sometimes even get things that aren't really toys.  Today mommy found me chewing on a dryer sheet!  It tasted good, I don't know why she took it away!  I'm not crawling yet, or really even trying.  It just seems like a lot of work!  But I can stand on my feet if you put me on them.  I like this new point of view!  I also get to stand up in my exersaucer and my walker.

I am sleeping better now.  Mommy has started making me fall asleep on my own in my bed.  I don't really like it at first, but I sleep so much better when I put myself to sleep.  Mommy says that means everyone sleeps better!

I had a great first Christmas!  We started celebrating about a week before Christmas because I have so much family to see and visit.  I got so many new toys, books and clothes.  I think mommy and daddy had as much fun with my new toys as I did, I know my cousin Grayson did. ;)  I think he is ready for me to be able to be up and run around with him though.  I got a fun exersaucer from grandmamma and granddaddy and a train that has balls that go around in it from Nana.  These are the toys I play with the most right now because they are just my size.  I got lots of other toys that I will play with soon once I can sit up by myself.  I'm getting more and more sturdy every day so it won't be long!  I got lots of books, an alligator teether and a blow up pool to play in this summer from Santa!  I wasn't really sure what was going on this year, but it was a lot of fun!  Now mommy just has to find a place for all my new things!

And I am getting them!  Mommy thought I was getting my first tooth, but it turns out I am getting two at one time.  Both my front bottom teeth are coming in at once!  It hurts though and I can't sleep good anymore.  I am ready for them to just finish coming in...and so are mommy and daddy!  I love to rub my tongue over them and feel the little ridges.  It feels so funny!

I had a great first Thanksgiving with family and I can't wait for Christmas!  Our tree is up and there are a lot of pretty lights and ornaments on there I'd like to hold, but mommy won't let me.  She does let me touch the tree though.  It feels funny! I can roll over from my tummy to my back easily, but going the other way isn't as much fun.  I usually just whine until someone gets me what I want.  I love to sit up though and I only have to have a little help.  Soon I will be able to do it all by myself!
