Home at last...could have been worse.

Went to Dallas, Texas over the 4th to visit family and Grandma Fraker who stays with my Aunt down there part of the year. The first morning we woke up, I got the boys ready to go to the park. (it is very hot there so we wanted to get to the park early before the heat of the day got too bad.)
When I got outside, I noticed our car was gone. There was a big party in the neighborhood with lots of people in the street the night before and I thought maybe Steve moved it somewhere to keep it safer. I was walking to the park with the boys so I didn't need it, but went to check with him, just in case.
He and my uncle stepped outside and kind of grinned. So I thought they were playing a joke on me. Then we all realized that it was no joke...the car was gone.
I called the cops while Steve went in to cancel our credit cards and debit card since they were in his billfold in the glove compartment. The cops came and another man came walking down the street. He looked confused and frenzied. He came over the the cop car where I was talking and said they were missing their truck and all the tools out of their garage.
So far, not too bad. We got the credit card account closed and the debit account closed before too much damage was done. Just 3 charges. Two at a gas station and one at Burger King.
So, we begin to think about how are we to get home...To rent a car you have to have a credit card in your name in your hand for them to swipe. We had cancelled ours!!!
Long story short, I have the very, very, very best family in the whole world. When my sister in law heard what had happened, she offered her mini-van and my brother drove it down to pick us up on Monday.
I felt so desperate at the time. It is such a horrible feeling to have no ability to take care of yourself or your kids. But, I learned what a wonderful family I have. Thank you Nathan and Tammi!!!!! We will never be able to repay you!
Lots of new pictures and some of the fun things we did will follow in the next couple days. Also an update on Gram.
