Nathan has friends over Saturday night.  We were in the middle of playing Operation.  (you know...the one that buzzes if you touch the edge while trying to get the bones out...)  He had to go potty.  I didn't think much about it until a few minutes later when I asked him if he needed help and he yelled no.  I kept playing the game and a few minutes later asked again if he needed help.  The answer again was no...I should have went in at this point and the thought passed through my mind to, but I didn't.  Always listen to that little voice inside you.

A few more minutes passed and his friend had to go potty so I opened the door to let his friend in to go and the whole bathroom had about an inch of water on the floor and bits of soaked toilet paper and other things floating on it.  Nathan was soaking.  His arms were wet up to his shoulders and he began sobbing.  "I thought you would get mad at me."

I took his friend to the other bathroom and Steve stripped him and brought him upstairs to the tub to wash.  I washed him and then went back down to the flooded bathroom.  I think he had an accident and in trying to clean it up, he stopped up the potty with tons and tons of toilet paper.  He just panicked.  I think he is getting to the age that an accident really bothered him when friends were around and he just panicked.  Then it all went horribly wrong and he had no idea what to do.

I cleaned the bathroom and told him how much I loved him and that I would always love him no matter what he did.  He put his sweet little arms around my neck and told me he would always love me no matter what I did and gave me a snuggle and a kiss.

I am soo lucky.
