Never Again!

My boys are sooo lucky. They play and play and play because they stay with Grandma during the day. She takes them out to the farm where they get to look at the piggies and the pony. They get to play in the mud (which they have already done this year). They get to climb to the top of the hay stack. That's where this story starts. Uncle Nathan and Nathan climbed to the top of the haymound the other day and it was very tall and had cracks in it so you had to be very careful. (Nathan is telling me all this while in the bathtub this morning...he is always a jabberbox, but especially first thing in the morning in the tub) When they got to the top, Nathan said "he got scared, but Uncle Nathan who is ALWAYS VERY BRAVE got him down.
Then when it is warm, Grandma sets up playdates at the various parks around town. The last two days I have picked them up at the city park. Wednesday he was playing with lots of friends. When I got there, Brandy and Meagan were there. He just loves them both. But then a new little boy named Luke came and Nathan began playing Batman with him. Brandy got upset of course. Well, Nathan in the past has gotten very upset when someone wants to play with his cousin Carly. He is very territorial around her. When I pulled Nathan aside, I mentioned that Brandy is probably feeling right now the way you feel when someone else plays with Carly.
He then got upset and went over and was hugging Brandy. We discussed that it is great to have new friends and that he should be happy for Carly when she gets new friends and that we should also always remember our old friends too.
Not sure how much of it sunk in, but we'll see. Kindergarten is sure to be interesting.
Will Will is an ornery little rascal. He found another little girl at the park last night who was sitting down playing. He was patting her head and jabbering as loud as he could at her. She got up and tried to move away, but my little baby monster followed her all around the park never once stopping the jabbering. He definately knew what he was saying...nobody else did though.
The next thing you know, he is on the jungle gym. He climbs all the the toys like his big brother.
His big brother has been doing the monkey bars at gymnastics so was showing off for daddy and grandma when he started to fall. Grandma reached out to grab him, but caught him by the head. It looked like he was going to pop his head right off!!!
He just looked up, never a tear, and said....I am never doing that AGAIN!
