Rain, Rain, go away
posted on 04/29/2009

The rain just won't stop.  I got out for a jog for the first time today in about a week and a half...and of course, as we speak, it is raining again.

Rain for awhile isn't such a bad thing right now though.  Nathan constantly wants to play outside and he is really struggling right now with his breathing.  So, he needs to be inside and rain is a great way to explain why we can't be outside.

However, it can't rain on Sunday.  We have a 5th birthday party planned outside at Thomas Mitchell Park on Sunday.  It's hard to believe that Nathan was born 5 years ago!  My how life has changed.  I have a great family!  My little Nathan loves his baby brother so much and he is getting so grown up.  He goes to kindergarten next year!  He climbed all the way to the top of the cargo net at gymnastics last Saturday.

I remember when I would hold him and his little legs were so short they didn't even dangle over my arms, now he is getting so big that he wraps them around me when I carry him.  He jumps from high swinging swings and the top of his clubhouse.  He is my big boy already.  He doesn't even like to snuggle at night anymore.  He justs wants to be left alone or to cuddle with Will Will.

I remember when Grandma Fraker would rock him for hours upon hours.  She would rock him so long that her arms would fall asleep, but he just snuggled up to her and slept the afternoons away.

He is sick though and tonight as he fell asleep he came up to me and said he was "going to let me cuddle him."  Well, that lasted for about 5 minutes, but it's better than nothing!

My little Will Will is still quite a snuggler.  Well, actually he is more of a hair holder.  He loves to hold my hair and tickle himself with it.  He tickles his eyes, his nose, his ears, even his feet.  Sometimes he yanks a bit so I am really trying to get this hair grown back out quickly so he doesn't have to struggle so much to get a good hold on it!  :)

Wow!  Will Will is really going to town on talking now.  He thinks he runs the place.  Time sure does fly by.
