I logged onto this website to update it and there had been a message in my guestbook from someone named Allison. It asked me if I owned a 2006 Ford Fusion and that she searched the license plate and came up with Steve Zook as the owner and from there googled the name and found this website. The message said that the car had been parked on their Dallas property for months.
I e-mailed her back and let her know that it had been stolen and asked for her phone number. She e-mailed me right back with her phone and I called her. Apparently she was going to have it towed, but noticed baby things in the back and was worried. So she tracked me down. I called Dallas PD and they want out and sure enough it was our stolen car. In their words, it was found in a gated community just blocks from where it was stolen.
Car seats were gone, laptop that had been the trunk were gone, but some of Nathan's Spider Man DVD's were still there. They said it was filthy, but besides that it was in good shape.
So, Allyson who went the extra mile and tracked me down solved a crime! She e-mailed me back and was sooo sweet. I certainly wish there were more people like her in this world!
***side note: The policeman who went to get the car found our cooler in it. We had packed food to take down with us. He said he opened it up and food that had been sitting out in a hot car for a year does not smell good!!!
