Being Brenna

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!

Brenna was a Turkey in her Thansksgiving Play at School. Sadly Craig and I both had something going on this morning and weren't able to make the play, but I did make it for the Thanksgiving Feast afterwards! As soon as I got there she said "Mommy, I say gobble gobble gobble!". I'm so bummed that we missed her performance and don't have any pictures, but her teacher said they did a great job! Since we didn't catch the play I took some pictures of her here at home still in her costume, SO cute.

This is the pumpkin that she picked out for Leah at the pumpkin patch. So she calls it "Leah", she asked if she could take a picture with Leah so here she is!

Photo Shoot!

A friend of mine has started her own photography business, Princess "P" Photography, and we were lucky enough to be some of her first customers! She did a wonderful job and the lake in our neighborhood made the perfect setting. These are just a few of the pictures she took and I know she's not done with them all yet but I was so excited about them I couldn't wait to get them on Brenna's website!

Brenna was SO excited to go to the lake for our pictures. I'm not sure she totally understood the picture part though.:) There is another really small "lake" in the neighborhood where Amber and I take the girls to feed the ducks. She LOVES going to feed the Ducks, luckily she has started to figure out that if she doesn't chase them in circles like a maniac they don't run away.

She is growing up so fast, I look at her sometimes and she just looks so grown up! Her teacher sent me a note the other day saying how well Brenna is doing in her class, I'm so glad to know she's adjusting to it so quickly. The other day we went for a walk with Craig and "Nammy" and Brenna was counting the houses we passed, she counted 15! I was completely amazed! She's been counting to 10 for a little while, but 15 is new! We are still pursuing the potty training adventure, yes it is an adventure! She is getting much better about remembering to ask to go potty and she's even started wearing some big girl undies! It's amazing how fast they grow, it makes me grateful for every day!

First Day of School!

Brenna started Pre-School last week (9/28) at Hickory Road Baptist Church!! She's going Monday and Wednesdays from 9:00-1:00 and seems to be liking it a lot. The first day was a little bumpy with a few tears but her teacher said she perked up pretty quick and had a good time. The second day was the first time we did carpool and that was a little hard for her but again they said she perked up after a few tears. I'm so excited for her! And so proud that she's adjusting so well with all of the recent changes, she is such a trooper! I think it's going to be a great way for her to make friends and to be prepared for when it comes time to start Kindegarten... which of course is going to be here WAY to fast!!

My FAVORITE picture of her to date, so funny!
