An Earthquake? In Kentucky?

That's right. About 5:37 am this morning an earthquake struck in West Salem, IL, about 150 west of Louisville. Jeff and I both woke up and looked at each other in disbelief! Our bed was shaking, the building was shaking, and there was lots of clattering and clanging. I can now say that I know what an earthquake feels like. It was surreal. When I think of earthquake, I think of California, not Kentucky. But apparently, an earthquake strikes this region about once every 50 years. Who knew? Well, we do now.
