Our Fun Summer

Wow! It has been a long time since I posted a journal entry. We have spent the summer being tourists in our own town/state. We have had a great time visiting lots of places that we had never been before. Below is a run down of the things we have enjoyed doing so far this summer. Check out the pics in the Photos section of the website.
- Went to a Louisville Bats baseball game
- First trip to the zoo with Daddy
- Went to Shaker Village in Harrodsburg, KY
- Played at the splash pad at the zoo
- Watched the horses race at Churchill Downs (the closest we'll ever get to seeing the Derby live!)
- John Robert played putt putt for the first time
- Attended our church's VBS kick-off pool party
- Said goodbye to our friends, Donnie, Rebecca, and Elisha, as they moved to Missouri
- Had a water play date with about 15 friends from church
- Said goodbye to our dearest friends, Wayne, Rebekah, Braxton, Brennan, and Brookelyn Jenks, as they moved to North Carolina
- Spent a Day out with Thomas the Tank Engine (I will post pictures on this later this week.)
We look forward to many more happy times hanging out as a family this summer!
