Travis & Kelly, I have been thinking about you all day, I kept going in to see if there was a update after your meeting. You are right about "God" letting Bennett be his own little person. My youngest grandson whom is 11, has been having sizure's since he was in second grade. He and his brother were playing and he triped and hit his head and broke his collar bone. Several weeks later he started having sizures, but the dr. said it was not related, but who knows. He lost about 4 years during this period because they were so bad and this year got worse. He has been in the hospital twice for a week at a time hooked up for eegs, and the activity is in the front part of his brain, which is where his memory is. They have tried him on different medicine'S but because there is not a point, they have been unsuccessful. They have only two options left, one is a sort of surgary thru his chest with a wire, up thru his collar bone and up to his brain, but no guaratee that it will work, but has helped on some children offset the sizures.
They are taking the one first that is a medicine that could damage his liver, so he will have to go in twice a week for months for them to draw his blood, to moniter it. My daughter held him back a year(5th) grade and he has a aid with him at all times at school. They happen so suddenly, he can't be left alone. He can't take a bath, go to the bathroon, play sports or anything.for right now. I ask God to let me know when I should share this with you and when I read your journal a few minutes ago, I felt the time was right.MY THOUGHTS AND HEART IS TO LET YOU FEEL THERE IS SO MUCH HOPE.
he is the most precious little boy!! He is so passive and most never complains. About 6 weeks ago, he woke up one Sunday morning and told his Dad, he wanted to go to church with him and his brother. 3 Sundays after that, when they had the alter call, he ask him if he could go down. The next Sunday he was baptized. I told him, that I believed that was God's way of letting him know he had him in his hand and he need not be afraid thru this journey he is going thru. He is older now and asking more questions, so I truly believe what I told him so he would not be afraid. We let him know all the time how lucky we are to have him and how much, he blesses our lifes. We comfort him, and nourish him. We are lucky like you guys to have so many people praying everyday that some new medicine will help control them. I have grown to love little Bennett by looking at his pictures and reading the journals. He is adorable. MY PRAYERS REMAIN STRONG WITH YOU, SO TELL LITTLE BENNETT HE HAS A FRIEND IN NASHVILLE ROOTING FOR HIM!!
With Love |

Travis & Kelly,
Thanks for the update on the meeting with the neurologist. We can only imagine how difficult that meeting must have been, but we are so impressed with your upbeat outlook. Bennett is lucky to have such amazing parents, and you are blessed to have such a wonderful son.
You all are always in our thoughts and we continue to pray for Bennett's complete recovery and development. He's such a special, little boy and is so loved by everyone.
Much love,
Zach & Parul |

Are you sure sweet Bennett wasn't saying, "Where is my rubber ducky - I know I have heard that babies get to take baths with ducks, but I have yet to see one single duck !" We love your stories and your precious photos. God has blessed y'all with an amazing son who is loved by so many. We praise God for sweet Bennett's strength and sense of humor. We love y'all and we are praying and praying. |

I loved the precious story. I know God is giving you both the strength and energy you have needed these last 40 days. He will be with you today during the doctor report and we know God can completely heal Bennett and are praying for that. In Luke 19:45-48
Jesus says "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you say to this mountain. "Go throw yourself into the sea'and it will be done. If you Believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer".
We all claim this in Jesus Name for Bennett. |
