Good morning Kelly & Travis, We are on the roller coaster vicariously, and what a ride it is. We are reminded of the first weeks of our sons births by the longing you have felt to hold Bennett and to know that he will get better. David was taken to the NICU because he was "grunting" after a few minutes of birth. Jerry actually was the first to hold him. It is an overwhelming feeling of love and gratitude to God that you even have a son to nuture and love.
We are helping to carry your heavy load willingly and without duty; just love.
When I think of our boys baby books, I know Bennett will be overwhelmed by the hundreds, maybe thousands of entries of people who stepped into his life from day one!! Your entry about sharing all of these things with him, will make him feel like a "celebrity".
We will continue our prayers for Bennett's complete healing and peace and comfort as you watch him get stronger and stronger. Time seems to stand still in our hours of pain and suffering, soon time will be flying by and he will be off to college.
Love to each of you as you keep the vigil at NIC unit, Jerry, Lynn and David |

What a scare last night but I am glad that it was relatively easy to correct.
I am also so happy to hear you were able to hold him again yesterday - that has to comfort him...being held so close and warm to Mommy!
I hope he continues to improve today. xoxo |

| Our church and Sunday School class are praying for Bennett,Kelly and Travis and your family. It must of been a very scary thing tonight. I am sorry. Bennett will get better but; he has been a very sick little boy and it is going to take time for his lungs to heal and work properly. My prayers are that God will completely heal his little lungs. That God will give you both the need rest you need. You both are exhaustedd. I remember how hard it was for Colleen to go back and forth and pump Kelly. I can only imagine how tired you are. I pray that God will give you the strength and needed rest you need. The Angels are watching over Bennet and God is blessing us with miracaulous miracles and great strides every day. Keep strong in you faith. We are so proud of you and love you all. |

YIPPEEEEEE!!!! Another good day! I am rejoicing that you got to hold your sweet angel boy at last. That is the best news I've heard all day. One thing I wanted to tell you about that we learned while in the NICU....our hands got so chapped from all the washing day after day (I am quite sure you understand this by now!). Aquaphor by Eucerin and Neutrogena Hand Cream (both can be found at Wal-mart, any pharmacy, etc) works wonders. Just thought I would pass on the pointer!
Love you guys so much!!! |

We are rejoicing with you over Bennett's continued progress. What a warrior! We were OVERJOYED to see the pictures of you guys holding him. Some of the most precious "first hold" baby pictures I've ever seen!! Bennett is just gorgeous, and he's truly a reflection of God's glory.
Love you all,
Robin |
