comment by Jerri Harrington on 08/29/2007 We are praying for you all constantly....I can't start my day without praying for Bennett. As God knit him together in his mother's womb, He knew the challenges he would face. There may be a reason Bennett had to start his life by fighting so hard to live--it reminds me of Jacob wrestling with an angel all night....sometimes we just can't know the reasons for challenges. I know that I am amazed and encouraged by the love that is going up to God in prayers from all over the world. Since God is love....it is a testimony to His Perfect Goodness. I know He is active in Bennett's young life when His love is pouring out from all over the world. I will pray all day for the bleeding to stop and for Bennett's lungs to continue to gain strength. I pray that you both will be able to rest and will be filled with God's peace that passes all understanding.

comment by Kim Wilson on 08/29/2007 Good morning guys...My morning routine now includes checking for the latest updates on Bennett and his parents. At this point I am gong to need continued updates after Bennett goes home-just a daily note on how he is doing and some photos will be nice. It hasn't taken any of us very long to fall in love with this little guy and my prayer is for God to continue this steady healing process. How grateful I am for Bennett to be at Georgetown. It was about 15-16 years ago that I watched the skilled staff there in the NICU give us a healthy baby Emily Schad. Our Lord knows our every need and he does provide.
Much love to you all on Day Ten!!!

We pray for strength and courage for you, Travis and Kelly, and we pray for complete healing for your precious son, Bennett. May God bless your family beyond your belief!

comment by Mayos on 08/29/2007 This morning, the first thing Kaitlyn said was "Mom, have you checked on baby Bennett yet?" Thank you so much on keeping us updated on everything. We, too, are praying specifically for the next chest x-ray to show a significant decrease in infection and for the bleeding to stop. We love you and are praying for continued strength and peace for your entire family - and the other families in the NICU.

comment by Tabitha Murray on 08/29/2007 How beautiful to see the pictures of baby Bennett. The NICU is a scary place and also a wonderful place when you have a sick baby. No where else in the world will you find nurses and doctors who care soooooooooo much about your child than a NICU. They will do everything earthly possible to help him to get better. The rest is up to God and my family is praying very frequently that HE will heal your baby. God Bless You ALL and enjoy every minute with Bennett. He is a PRECIOUS boy and he is yours.

comment by Keith and Martha Rogers on 08/29/2007 Good morning friends. Keith and I just want you to know that we are still praying for you and sweet Bennett. I am thankful that he is holding his own and making small steps. It seems most steps in the NICU process are small and then they all add up and it is big. Hang tight and love on each other a lot. We are specifically praying for the bleeding to stop and for the infection to be defeated. Much love to you and sweet Bennett.
