Lots of fun things happened last month, and Brady is busier than ever! He is still really enjoying preschool and learning so much! Last month, the preschool went to the circus in Atlanta, and we had alot of fun! Brady fell asleep in the first half...not surprising considering the show started at 12:30, which is his normal nap time! He woke up right before intermission and was in a great mood for the second half. Aunt Abby, Gran, and Papa all came along for the fun as well, and Brady loved having everyone there with him to watch the "cwons" and "ephants!"
We also took Brady bowling for the first time! He had so much fun and did really well. With a little help from Daddy, he hauled that ball down the lane and knocked down alot of pins. Hopefully, he'll be a better bowler than his mommy!
We're hoping that March will bring some warmer weather so that we can get outside and get some energy out! We can't believe that our little guy will turn 3 next month--unbelievable! He is growing more independent every day and is still our little joy! Even though the "terrible twos" seemed to come a little late, we will survive! :) We're just glad he's potty trained as of January--yahoo! It only took about a week for him to be fully trained...I would've started earlier if I'd known it was going to be so easy once we just got started! It's been so nice not having to buy and worry with diapers. My baby boy is growing up but will always be just that...my baby! :)
Happy New Year!

We hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! Brady had a GREAT Christmas and got more toys than he could ever want or need! There were three thing on his list this year..."choo choo, Cars, and books." He loves Thomas the train, the Cars movie, and any kind of book! Santa and the family did not disappoint, as he got all of the above and so much more! He has had such a good time the last few weeks playing with all his toys, and it's been nice to see him enjoy them so much!! We're gearing up for a great 2009--we can't believe he'll be 3 in four months!!! Where did time go? I love my little Brady bug so much, and I love how his smile lights up a room! Happy New Year!!!
So much to be thankful for...

As Thanksgiving approaches, we reflect on our blessings and realize we have so much to be thankful for at the Price household. As the world around us is unstable, divided, and at chaos most of the time, we are calm, peaceful, and trusting in His grace and mercy. God has given us more than we will ever ever ever deserve. We have a beautiful, precious, loving child who we love more than life itself. We look at each other and wonder what we did to deserve such a joy and light in our life! We are thankful for our jobs and for each other. I am thankful for a husband that works so hard to provide for our family and to allow me to stay home most of the time with Brady! We are thankful that God answered our prayer for Marc to be transferred to a store closer to home...last weekend we got that long awaited answer, and he started at a new location in Douglasville. Only 30 minutes from home instead of 1 hour! What a blessing! We have a wonderful home, and more "stuff" than we will ever need. What a blessing our family is to us! I'm so thankful for my parents for their willingness to keep Brady for us so that we can work and also spend time with each other too! I don't know what I'd do without them, seriously. I heard a quote today at church that said "Being thankful is realizing that we're not entitled to anything." What a better place this world would be if we all embraced that thought. I thank God everyday for the blessings in my life...there are too many to list on this entry without sitting here all night. I love my Christ, my family, my child, my church, and the "things" of this life that I have.

What a month! We enjoyed a few days vacation in Gatlinburg the first few days of the month. Unfortunately, Brady got his first bout of croup, which really caught us off guard on the way home...poor little guy started barking in the back seat. It was so scary. He got well pretty quickly, though.
The next week, we went to the pumpkin patch with Brady's preschool. We had a good time checking out the pumpkins, mining for gems, and going on a scavenger hunt. Brady is doing well in preschool and is talking so much more and seems to be warming up to other kids a little better. It's been good for him to be around kids on a regular basis--he also seems to have a good time and brings home cute art projects every week!
Last week, we enjoyed Disney on Ice with the preschool as well. Brady loved the Cars, and we wish that they had been on the ice longer! It was a long show, but Brady seemed to enjoy it!
Brady enjoyed trunk at treat at church this week, a Halloween party at preschool Thursday, and trick or treating on Friday! What a week! He definitely got some good use out of his scarecrow costume. He was so cute and got lots of good candy! He's getting the hang of this trick or treating thing. He doesn't really like the candy, but he loves to get it!
Brady is still such a good boy and is so sweet! He melts my heart when I tell him I love him and he says, "love you too, Mama" and gives me a big hug. Quite possibly might be the sweetest words I'll ever hear! We're looking forward to the next couple months and all the fun stuff that comes with the holidays!
1st Day of Preschool!

Well, he did it!! Brady started 2 year old preschool today much to the delight of myself and his daddy! We've been talking about it for weeks and Brady has been so ready to go! We drove past the church (FUMC in Bremen) the other day, and he said, "Mama! There my p-cool!" It totally shocked me that he recognized it because we've only been there once for teacher meet and greet, and I've pointed it out a couple times to him as we drove by. Amazing what their little minds retain!
Marc was off this morning, so he got to go with me to deliver him. After taking a few highly cherished pictures, we were off! Once we arrived, we hung around for awhile so that he could get acclimated, then we headed out. I held my breath as I gave him one last hug and left out...I was so afraid he would cry. I worried for 3 1/2 hours that he probably cried for a few minutes after we left, but I knew that he wouldn't cry for long! Well, I went back at noon to pick him up, and his teacher said he didn't cry AT ALL!!! YAY for Brady!!! :)
She said he did great, and he was so excited after he got in the car. He jabbered all the way home! We are so excited about this year and hope that he loves it each and every day! My baby boy is growing up so fast, but I couldn't be happier with the opportunities that we have to watch him learn and experience new things every day! We are truly blessed!
End of summer is near...

Well, summer is quickly coming to an end, and Brady will start 2 year old preschool next week! I am so excited for him to be able to have interaction with other children on a more frequent basis: I hope he loves it! We have his orientation this week, teacher meet and greet the next day, and then his classes begin the Tuesday after Labor Day. He will go for 2 days each week from 8:30-12:00 each day. It should be a good experience for both of us!
Brady got a new toy today--his very own kitchen and grill playset. We've held off on getting one because I thought, "Does my little BOY really need that??" Well....he LOVES it! I figured Marc would go for it since 1/2 of it is a grill (to balance out the kitchen part, right?). He bought into the idea, and Brady is all the happier because of it. Who knows, maybe he'll be the next Top Chef!!
Stay tuned for new pics and journal about his first day of preschool, or "p-cool" as he calls it! Should be fun!
Going to see the fishies!!

Today we took a trip to the GA Aquarium to "see the fishies!" It's Gran's birthday, so we're celebrating in style! We got there right when it opened, which was a great time to go--not too crowded! Brady loved the otters! That was probably his favorite exhibit, but what's not to love about otters, right? They're so fast and playful...just like a 2 year old! They had lots of petting tanks that the kids could reach in and touch different animals. That was fun too! It was a good trip, and we plan on going back in 2010 when they complete the dolphin exhibit! That should be really cool!

Wow--so much time has passed since we've updated Brady's page! Since we were last here, Brady celebrated his 2 year birthday on April 20! He had a Blue's Clues party complete with an awesome cake made by our good friend, Sharla! I would have pictures to post of the party, but they're on Aunt Abby's camera, and she's having technical difficulties with getting them to me.
Brady enjoyed VBS at our church earlier this summer as well. The theme was Dino Detectives, and he loved to make the dinosaur noise (growling) everyday! He did great in his 2-3 year class every night. He came home with cute activities every night and his teachers said he was a little joy!
We just got back from vacation last week. We headed down to Orange Beach, which is right next to Gulf Shores. We had a blast! Brady loved the ocean but NOT the sand. Anytime it got on his hands, he whined like a little girl until we wiped it off. Hopefully, he'll get past this stage! We were a little worried about how he'd handle the long car ride, but he did great. We brought along a few new toys to keep him entertained, and the portable dvd player is a lifesaver on long trips! He had fun playing with Aunt Abby and Uncle Chris as well as Gran and Papa!
Brady is getting bigger and funnier every day! We can't believe how big he's getting. At his 2 year checkup in April, he weighed 32 lbs and was 35 inches tall! He is really into the alphabet right now. He can pick out every letter and loves to play with his magnetic letters, his foam bath letters, and any toy that sings the alphabet song or has interactive letters. Hoepfully, he will love reading as much as I did when I was little. Even though his attention span is not too long when it comes to sitting still, we still make time for a book or two almost every day. I love to read to him and get him involved in the story!
We've enrolled Brady in 2 year old preschool this fall. It starts right after Labor Day, and he'll go 2 days each week for 3 1/2 hours. I think this will be great for him! He does really well around adults, but since we don't have any other little ones around very often, he doesn't really understand other "little people" too well. I think this will help with that tremendously and will give mommy some much needed time to get some things accomplished around the house!
We hope you're having a great summer too! Stay cool and check back soon for more pics!
