I'm now at 32 weeks and 5 days...so almost 33.

Last night was the baby shower!!  Very fun and I'm so excited and thankful for all the wonderful things we got for them!  Mostly clothes which is really nice and fun....getting to envision them wearing them get's me very excited for them to get here.  :-)  We still need some essentials like a daiper bag, first aid/grooming kit, toiletries and bath things, sleep positioners and bedding....but, we are well on our way!  YAY!  You can see in the pictures just how huge my belly is getting, I can barely fit in the chair I'm sitting in!  ha ha

I'm definitely feeling like I'm in the home stretch!  :-)  I realized yesterday that I'm carrying about the same weight (baby weight between both of them) as I was when Isaac was born....he was 6 lbs. 11 oz.  I have an ultrasound appointment today, so I'll get to see just how much they weigh right now.  I'll write in here again later after the appointment.

Isaac is getting more and more excited!  He can't stop kissing my belly, he does it constantly!  It's so cute, he puts his hands on my belly, kisses and says 'sweet babies' with a huge smile on his face.  It's adorable!  Sometimes he'll trip me up when I'm walking cause he's wanting to constantly kiss my belly!  I have to remind him to be careful.  He says 'I love your tummy'.  :-)  I must look pretty silly to him.  ha ha

Well, that's it for now...I'll write again after the appointment.

I just went in a few days ago for a Doc. appointment at 27 1/2 weeks.  She is now seeing me every 3 weeks.

Both babies are thriving and doing very well!!  YAY!  Their heart beats are steady and normal and everything checks out great!  I'll be doing a glucose test in a few days to test if I have gestational diabetes...the only risk factor I have is that I'm having twins....there is no history in my family and no other risk factors, plus I have no symptoms.  Some symptoms are fatigue....but I think I'm just tired cause I'm carrying twins!  :-)

Isaac is getting more and more excited...he cuddles my belly, kisses them and sings to them!  It's soooo cute!  He is such a great big brother already and he helps me out alot!  He'll go get my water bottle for me and pick up things off the floor for me, he's great!  :-)  I know he still gets frustrated that I can't lift him or push him very long on the swing....but when I explain that I can't right now to make sure the babies come safe to us, he understands and is being very brave about not getting too upset.  :-)

I feel them moving almost constantly!  Sometimes it feels like they are having a down and out rumble and my whole stomach jerks around, it's quite a sight! ha ha  I felt James do a big move the other night, I think he went from breech to head down..cause that's what it felt like (it almost hurt) and now I'm feeling his hiccups towards my right side instead of before directly in the middle (he's low, so I feel him the most).  I think I've only felt Evie's hiccups a few times....her head was down at my left and then at my last ultrasound, she was down towards my right!!  I didn't feel that big move and I didn't know they still had room to do that!!  ha ha  But, James is still holding on to the 'first one out' spot....maybe that's what they fight over!  ha ha

My sister found out that she is having a girl!  They are naming her Lilla (Hungarian, pronounced Lee-la).  It's all very exciting.  Isaac was wrong this time, he said she was having a boy.  :-)  But, I'm still amazed that he got it right for me....there are a few more options that it could have been.  :-)

We had a bit of a scare last friday afternoon.  I took Isaac to the park, and just the walk from the playground to the car, I starting feeling really uncomfortable.  I had no choice but to walk really slow, my back was aching more than usual and the babies felt really heavy in my pelvis.  As soon as we got home, I sat down and started have contraction after contraction.  They were coming really close together and started to hurt.  I called my doctor and she told me to go to labor and delivery at the hospital right away.  My Dad drove Isaac and I there, he stayed with Isaac in the waiting room.

They checked their heart beats for stress and confirmed my contractions and how hard and close they were with the monitor.  She checked my cervix for any efacing or dialating (for those of you who don't know what that means...efacing is the thinning and dialating is the opening of the cervix, where the baby comes out :-)  Thankfully my cervix was completely closed.

They gave me a shot to stop the contractions and they calmed down thankfully.  Then they took me downstairs to have an ultrasound done to check on the babies.  It was a very thorough check, it seemed to be the same thing as the full diagnostic ultrasound I had a few weeks ago.  I was laying on the table for what seemed like a couple of hours!  The shot they gave me made me have a hot flash that entire time, I thought I was going to pass out.  But, the good news is that the babies are fine, I just have to take it easy.  In fact, it was a little bit fun because during the ultrasound I got a good look at them and again James was the mellow one and Evey was the fiesty one!  :-)  At one point she was actually bouncing on top of James!  ha ha  The technician laughed and said that she has never seen a baby bounce like that on top of another baby!  :-)  I could see her clearly, her whole body just going 'boing' boing', it was hilarious!  Again, the technician had to take a long time to get her heartbeat cause she wouldn't hold still!

I got a couple of pictures from the ultrasound, you can see James' face better....Evey's face is all blury cause she's always moving around!  ha ha

I hadn't had anymore contractions like that until the day before yesterday after going grocery shopping.  But, I just followed the instructions they gave me at the hospital and they eventually calmed down and never got as painful as they did friday.  Yesterday it happened again after taking Isaac to the park....again just walking to the car.  But, I followed the directions again and they eventually calmed down.  Thankfully it didn't get so bad either time that I had to resort to taking the prescription they gave me (an oral version of the shot they gave at the hospital) I'm nervous about taking any drug during pregnancy, especially when I had side effects....the long hot flash, itchy feet and legs, restlessness with exhaustion.  Yuck!  It doesn't sound safe to me, but of course I'll take it if I absolutely have to so I don't go into early labor.  The original scare (friday) I was at almost 23 weeks.  Now I'm almost 24 weeks....in my sixth month.

Poor Isaac, he gets bummed out when I have to lay down and take it easy because of contractions.  It's getting hard for him to adjust to his 'new Mom' who can't play with him like I used to.  He's a trooper though and still very excited for the babies to come.  It was so cute, my Dad said that while they were in the waiting room at the hospital....every time he heard a baby cry, he said 'Is that Mommy's babies?'....my Dad had to keep explaining to him that they aren't coming yet, that we are just there to check on them.  :-)

I just came home from our major ultrasound and I'm so elated to now know for sure that we are having James and Evelyn!!!  We are so excited!!  Isaac was right all along!  When I told him that he was right, he looked at me like "I know, that's what I've been telling you, what are you getting so excited about now for?"  ha ha

We told the technician that Isaac says it's a boy and a girl before we started the ultrasound.  When she started the ultrasound we started off looking at just one baby that she was calling baby A.  After checking out the brain, the heart and all the important things...she asked if we wanted to know the genders and we said yes...she said this one is a boy!  Then after checking him out fully, we moved on to baby B who is at the top of my abdomen (James is down at the bottom) she was looking her over and then turned to Isaac and said "who has been saying a boy and a girl?" and I knew then that he was right....she said "You're right Isaac!"  He didn't look surprised, just like..."I know".  :-)  The technician then asked if he could give her some numbers.  ha ha  Of course he had no idea what she was talking about.  ha ha

James is the one I feel the most because he's low in my abdomen.  But, the ultrasound proved that Evelyn is the real mover and shaker....it took the technician a long time to get a steady recording of her heartbeat because she keep squirming around!  At one point the technician told me to hold my breath for awhile to see if she could get the recording.  It took a good 10 mins or so of her trying (I didn't hold my breath that long).  ha ha  With James it only took a few seconds.  :-)  We are already seeing who the more patient one is.  ha ha

The ultrasound was a long process having to fully scope out each baby and I was feeling faint from lying on my back so long and the room was really warm with no air conditioning.  I had to lay on my left side for awhile so I wouldn't pass out.  Other than being uncomfortable, it was an enjoyable experience getting a long look at them and of course now knowing for sure that we are having James and Evelyn!!  It is so fun to be able to call them by name!  Oh and of course, most importantly....she said they both look healthy!  YAY!  James is 11 oz right now and Evelyn is 10 oz.   Oh, and I'm at 19 1/2 weeks....just a few days short of 5 months. Today was the 3rd appointment at 17 weeks and 2 days.  Isaac came to this appointment as he did with the 2nd....he was very anxious to get a look at the babies on the screen and kept saying, 'lay down Mommy'.  He knew I had to lay down to begin the ultrasound.  :-)  It was so cute.

We were able to get a good look at them cause they are bigger now.  I asked my doctor if she could tell the genders yet.  When we were looking at the first one, she said that she couldn't tell for sure and wouldn't bet her money on it, but she thought she was looking at a boy.  When we were looking at the 2nd baby, she couldn't tell for sure again...but she thought maybe a girl.  :-)  Isaac has been saying all along that there is a brother and a sister....even before we knew we were having twins!  So, if this is right....then Isaac has been in tune from the start!  :-)  I've been feeling since the 2nd appointment that there is a girl and a boy in there.  It will be easier to tell at the main ultrasound appointment which is coming up on the 21st....so hopefully we will know for sure!  We are getting anxious, can't wait!!!!

We found out that we were having twins at my first doctor's appointment when I was 8 1/2 weeks along.  My doctor started the ultrasound and I looked at the screen and saw something in the corner of my eye....she moved it so you could only see one and said 'there's one and.....(then moved it) and there's another one!'  I just screamed, I could'nt believe it!  Michael was with me and he just started to laugh cause he was shocked and excited at the same time.  It was quite an experience!  I didn't calm down from crying (out of shock and excitement) for quite awhile before I was able to get out of the chair!

We had another appointment at 13 weeks and did another ultrasound.  They both looked healthy and are growing at the same pace.  They also each have their own sack with placenta, which is good.  That means they won't be fighting for nutrients!  :-)  We were trying to get a picture with both of them together, it was really cute...they looked snuggly in there.  :-)  But, they kept moving around so much we couldn't get a snapshot, the best we got was both of the tops of their heads. :-)

I am now almost 15 weeks along and I'm now starting to feel better with nausea and fatigue.  I still have bad days, but there seem to more good than bad recently, so I'm very optomistic that I'll be feeling better soon.  I'm already showing A LOT!  I showed early with Isaac, but this is ridiculous, I look like I'm about 6 months when I'm a week shy of being 4 months!  I'm scared that I'm going to need a wheelchair by the end!  But, what matters most is their health and safety.  :-)

I recently found out that my sister Sonia is also pregnant!!  I'm so excited that we are pregnant together!
