Welcome to our website!
I've been awful about updating the boy's website so I'm sure I will forget to add things they've been doing. I guess the biggest news is Bo is now walking. He started cruising all over the house last week and is doing great. It's so cute to see him toddle around. He gets around pretty fast whcih keeps up on our toes. He loves climbing the stairs. We can't put a gate at the bottom because of the way our stairway is designed so we've got to figure something out to keep him off. Bo is really into balls so we decided to have a ball-themed party for his 1st b-day. It's hard to believe our little baby will be one in 3 more weeks. Bo's started imitating the firetruck, tractor, and car sound. He loves playing with our dog Bailey. Bo just laughs and laughs at Bailey when he gets excited and starts barking. He eats pretty much anything we put on his plate. His favorite foods are oatmeal, breads, fruits, and black beans. As soon as Bo wakes up, he begins pointing to things. He's got a great smile and laugh. We are so grateful to have such a happy, easy going baby.
Carter is starting to show his independence by asking to make his own sandwiches, pour his cereal and various other things. I really have to hold back and not worry that a mess is being made. Some days he really thrives on "i did it without your help mommy" and other days, he says he's still a baby. Guess he's having an identity crisis. I can tell he is wanting to grow up though. He now gets to choose his clothes, help unload the dishwasher and put the detergent in, make his bed, let Bailey out of his cage, take his dirty clothes basket to the laundry room, and put his clean clothes up. Gary is awesome with helping out around the house so I'm hoping to instill that serving attitude in our boys too! Carter started riding his tricycle all by himself this month. His legs are finally long enough where he can get a good push. He also likes to ride his scooter up and down the sidewalk. Carter has really gotten into the "Cars" characters. We rewarded him with a Mac truck and Lightning McQueen for sleeping through the night 5 nights in a row. He played with this non-stop for days. It's fun to hear him talk to his toys and see his imagination soar. Carter turns 3 in March. Gary and I are taking him to Disney World this week to celebrate his birthday. We are sooo excited to go!! I think I'm more excited than him. He doesn't watch a lot of tv so I'm not sure he'll get into the characters, but I know he's going to have a blast.
We had our 1st snow in January. The wind chill made it very cold so it wasn't even fun to get out and play in it. We did put Bo in it for some 1st snow pictures, but he wasn't crazy about it. Again, it was freezing so I wouldn't have liked it either. We took Carter sledding down one of the big hills in our neighborhood on a cooler top and he was terrified. I'm not sure he's going to be our adventurous kid, but again he's only 2.
One last update is that Gary and I are going on a mission trip to the Philippines this summer so we'd love for our family and friends to start praying for our trip. We've got a great team going so we're excited to see how God wants to use us over there.
