JOURNAL

06/02/2006

Cassandra is 14 months and still not walking, but we haven't give up on her yet. She knows how to, she just refuses to. She's a headstrong girl.

She grows more beautiful everyday.

We found out she's allergic to the carpet, so we're trying to keep it from breaking her out.

We took a trip to Florida so she could see my family. Pictures are now posted!

Wow, her birthday is coming up already. I feel like I just brought her home yesterday. She's already taken a few steps, but is lazy about walking. She is so emotional and serious and loves to talk.

Her Elmo party will be on the 19th.

Cassandra's Christmas was wonderful. We did the opening of presents in the morning (Daddy helped) and she loved trying to eat all the wrapping paper. She got a lot of books from Mommy and some cool toys from her Grandpas.

All the excitement at Clint's Dad's house on Christmas eve was a little too much for her, but she enjoyed herself Christmas Day at his Mom's house.

We're already starting to plan her first birthday party. It's going to be an Elmo theme. She loves Elmo.

Cassandra is standing and crawling and babbling and developing quite the headstrong personality. It's all going so fast.

A nutritionist came to see Cassandra. Apparently shes not my little girl anymore and needs to eat lots more table foods. She needs to eat lots more meat and veggies and a lot less formula. She's a picky girl, we were just doing formula and baby food but she'll only eat the fruits.
We'll have to try harder. She does like the baby veggie puffs from Gerber and the lady said they were like baby crack, that all babies love them.
She's standing up and babbling and so smart. Time is just moving so fast.

Thanksgiving went well. Cassandra was a bit cranky as she was really tired and she wasn't intrested in eating anything on her Daddy's plate. I can't believe she is eight months old already. She's getting SO big. I got her a snowsuit but she can't move her limbs while in it and just looks like the kid from a Christmas Story who looks like a starfish in his winter clothes. She's learned to stand in her crib and bounce. I'm scared she'll fall out and she thinks it's hilarious. I can't wait for her first Yule this year.

She's getting so big. She's crawling now and developing quite the personality. She is a VERY emotional baby and loves to be coddled. She gets into EVERYTHING as all babies do. I spend all day chasing her around the apartment and she just loves it. She was so adorable on Halloween and a picture has been uploaded to show her costume. It's supposed to snow this weekend, so I'll take pictures of her first snow. Yule is coming up so fast.

There is nothing in the world like when your baby crawls up to you, pats your leg, looks up at you with the smile, and wanting cuddles. Watching her sit in my lap and be utterly amused that she can blow raspberries is the most precious thing in the world. You know how wonderful it is to be a mother when you can look back on all the pain and agony of pregnancy and childbirth and know that you would do it all over again in an instant to see that happy face on your child. As I've been telling my friends all week; I have the most beautiful baby ever made.

Guess who is 7 months old today! She's almost standing, sitting, and crawling. She's a baby on the go! It's a bit bittersweet because she's getting so big. I feel like I just had her yesterday. But I know that always, the best is yet to come. She gets more and more beautiful and intelligent everyday too. Happy 7 months to my Cassandra!
