April 2008

A lot has happened in April.  Eliza is busy getting ready for her dance recital and Macey has started crawling EVERYWHERE.  It is so fun to watch the girls learn to play together.  Macey thinks that Eliza is so funny.  JD is getting busy on the farm as they are getting corn in the grown and tobacco plants ready.  Carrie trained and ran her first ever HALF MARATHON on April 26th.

You can't be 9 months old!
posted on 28/03/2008

Macey Belle was nine months old yesterday.  It can't be true!!! She is so sweet and a wonderful baby.  I love having her in my life.  We went to Brickyard with Dean Dean to eat and Macey sat quietly and gobbled up the good bread they have.  I hope the last 3 months of Macey's 1st year will slow down.

Two Holidays in one week
posted on 23/03/2008

We celebrated St. Patricks day and Easter all in the same week.  We went to the Kennedy's to celebrate St. Patricks day was a traditional Irish dinner.  Check out the pictures in the photo gallery under "Spring Chics".

We went to Madisonville to celebrate Easter with Boo, Dean-Dean, Aunt Bonnie and Aunt Barbara & Uncle Doug.  Eliza went to the FBC egg hunt with our buddy JT Witherspoon (and I got to catch up with JT's mommy and my BFF, Hannah).  Then we tried to see the Easter Bunny at the mall...but Eliza was scared of him.  We went to FBC Sunday morning to hear the Easter musical and spent the afternoon with family.

Snow Day
posted on 08/03/2008

We finally got snow!  It seems that everytime a snow storm has come through, it has passed right around Simpson County.  We finanlly got one this weekend.  Eliza woke up so happy on Sat. morning to go play in the snow.  She and JD made a snowman, built an igloo, rode the 4 wheeler and played on her swing set.  We then went to Nana & Pops house where Eliza met up with cousins Olivia and Ethan to play more in the snow.  Macey and Eli hung out by the fire inside.  It was a great weekend for the kids to hang out together.  Eliza loved every minute of it.  Check out the photos in the gallery under "snow day".Ethan, Olivia, and Eliza are eating the snow at Nana's house.

They grow too fast...
posted on 03/03/2008

Eliza is smarter than me sometimes...it's amazing.  Macey is growing so fast that I know she will not be a baby much longer.  Why does time fly so fast???  Eliza continues to love Macey everyday...I think Macey gets frustrated with her...but Eliza does make Macey laugh.  Baby cousin, Eli, was born in January.  Eliza keeps calling him a "she" and Macey just looks at him.  I am sure that this time next year it will be tons of fun to see them all play together.  We are expecting another baby boy cousin, John William (Jack) Becker.  He is due to arrive on April 2nd...what a blessed family we are!

Eli Duncan<br />1.4.2008We have a new baby boy cousin, Eli Duncan.  He was born in January and looks a lot like big sis, Olivia.  We got to go see baby Eli when he was just a week old.  We aren't sure how he sleeps with all the noise of two older siblings...but he doesn't seem to mind it at all. Welcome to the family Eli!

Check out pictures of baby Eli with all the cousins in the photo gallery under "family".

Mommy goes to work
posted on 10/09/2007

Mommy started back to work.  Macey is staying with a family friend, Carol Cook.  She will be next door to her Nana and Pops house, so we are excited about the arrangement.  I think Macey will be fine with the arrangment...it's Mommy who is sad.  Eliza is now riding to daycare early in the morning with Mommy.  It's been hard for her to get out of bed so early...but we are managing.  Mommy feels like a bag lady getting everything packed for the next day.  Everyday feels like a new adventure with bags for daycare, work, Jazzercise, dance class, etc.  Whew.
