What a struggle of a doctor's appointment! Daniel hated it from the moment we started with sitting on the scale and then into the exam room for height measurment and the actual exam.  He did calm down a little and was happy to pick his sticker after the appt. was over! He did ok for his flu shot and of course cried but was calmer once it was done!!

The nurse commented on Daniel's height being about that of an average 2 or 3 year old and this was just his 18 month check up!! I think he is going to be a tall boy but only time will tell!! He really is starting to dislike going to the doctor's office and he didn't even want me to put him down on the examining table.  He was very very unhappy and upset when it came time for the doctor to examine him and he also had to endure one shot during this visit. 

Daniel had has 15 month check up today and he only had to endure one shot! He didn't mind the shot too much, he cried after he was stuck but then quickly recovered when we started telling the nurse bye-bye but he really screamed while the doctor was examining him.  He has never really liked being examined but boy today he sure put up quite a fuss.  His face turned beet red, he screamed and cried and squirmed around but as soon as the doctor picked him up and handed him back over to me he was A-OK! Doc said he looked good and growing nice and strong and right on track! Wow, 15 months already...where is the time going???

Daniel survived his doctor visit even though he was very unhappy after getting three shots in the arm.  Even his Daddy got a little chocked up because his little guy was in so much pain accompained by tears streaming down his face.  But as soon as the nurse started blowing bubble in the room Daniel perked up, no smiling but at least he was distracted.  Still a strong growing little guy who is right on track with growth and development!

Daniel did great at his 9 month checkup! He didn't have to get any shots but just a poke in his big toe for an iron check, which was normal.  His head measured 17.75 in. which is in the 50th percentile which seems small compared to his height and weight which were in the 97th percentile but the doc. said as long as the head keeps growing from one checkup to the next then all is well!  He is a growing boy!!

6 Month Checkup Stats. Daniel is still greater than the 97th percentile for height and weight but at 17 in. for head circumference he is only in the 30th percentile!

We have very slowly been transitioning Daniel into his bed (giving him the choice at nap time and bed time) and today he slept all through the night in it!  He did get out once at about 10:00 but after I tucked him back in and turned his music on again, I didn't hear a peep out of him until about 7:45 the next morning when he opened his door and came into my room!

Daniel loves to spin really fast by himself rather than in a circle with me and he especially loves the falling down part of the song!!

Daniel thinks he is jumping by bending his knees and straightening them quickly but on Tuesday he actually took flight and both of his feet came off the ground in a jump!! It was a very small jump but still a jump and he was very excited when he "took flight"!

We were up north visiting Grandma and Papa in PA and Daniel not only enjoyed being pulled in the wagon but he also loved pulling it himself!

He doesn't have many other options since I don't put the TV on too much other than when I know Sesame Street is on but we even started putting it on DVR for him so he can watch it at his convenience!  (haha)

Whether it is swimming at the beach, his baby pool in the backyard or his buddy Tyler's pool, Daniel loves splashing in the water!! He doesn't care if his face gets wet and he really loves splashing around!!

Daniel had is first taste of vanilla ice cream at Dairy Kurl and on his actual birthday! He enjoyed his cup and ate about half of it!!

We were sitting and eating dinner (Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa) and it was about the end of the meal and Daniel took both of his hands covered his eyes and then uncovered them so then we all started saying peek-a-boo to him and he did it some more!! It was too cute!! 

I'm not sure of the exact date but I know it was mid-September.  He has been cruising all over the furniture and pulling up on anything that is stationary but he laughs and has fun getting his balance (with the help from Mom or Dad) and then taking 2-3 steps to one of us and then falling into their arms!!

Daniel has always loved The Itsy Bitsy Spider and gets so excited when I sing it to him.  He watches the hand movements intently and shoots his arms out to his sides in excitement!

I tend to dress Daniel in blue alot, but it is probably because of his bright blue eyes!

I'm not sure if this is the exact date, but Daniel started saying Dada during our trip up north for Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Jackie's wedding!

Today during lunch Daniel said Mama! After the first time, I wondered if I actually heard him say it but then I encouraged him to say it again by saying Mama to him and he did!! Then during dinner and shopping at the mall he was saying Mama all over the place and I even was able to get it on film! I'm not sure if it is just baby babble but I'd like to believe that he is calling me Mama!!

Daniel smiles so big at the animals dancing around in their pj's and the book has a nice rhyming rhythm to it!

We had just returned home from the beach and Matt was rinsing off so I handed Daniel to him and they got a shower together!

The three of us went to the beach and although it was really windy we had a good time digging in the sand and playing in the shallow surf!

I'm not quite sure of the specific date but the tooth worked it's way up all through the month of April!

Daniel finally rolled over from his back to his tummy all by himself today!! He had been rolling over before now with a little push from Mom or Dad but today he rolled completely unassisted!

Daniel did great sleeping in his own room and I know it was much harder on Mommy than it was on Daniel!!

Daniel fell asleep while I was boarding the plane! By the time I walked through the aisle and found my seat, Daniel was asleep and stayed that way even through take off.  The only "rough" part of the flight was Daniel's diaper blowout and then changing his diaper and dirty clothes in the airplane bathroom without a changing table!! I changed him while he sat on my lap in the bathroom...it was interesting to say the least. 

We traveled up north for a special visit since we were not able to travel back to PA for Christmas! Daniel did great on the departure flight and the return flight to Florida!

He cried through the whole bath but it was just a quick one!
