Wow. What an exciting day that was. It was so exciting that I was a bit nervous.

Everyone sung Happy Birthday to me, and then, when they were done, they cheered, and I cried. Mami and Papi blew out the candles on my cake.

Then I got to eat the NEATEST stuff... ICING!! Yummmy. I loved that sooo much!

Everyone was so happy for me, and I got many wonderful gifts.

I love my family SO much!

Today my mami took me to Dinotown with her friend and her friend's daughters. We had lots of fun. I went on the train and saw an Emu and saw dinosaurs dancing and singing. It was a great day but BOY was I tired at the end of the day!

I have been learning to pull up on furniture and walk around the furniture a bit. I still fall down alot though. I get around very quickly by pulling myself along on my tummy.

I am a VERY busy little guy.

I like to touch them with my tounge and poke them with my finger. I havent bit my mum yet... hehe

Mum and Papa are making me have "Tummy Time" I hate it. I hate being on my tummy. They think the reason I havent learned to sit yet is because all I like to do is roll around on my back. I can sit in my stroller, and in my highchair, but when they sit me on my play mat, I cant help but fall onto my face. And I dont really like that very much.

I am eating my sweet potatoes and carrots still, and peas and green beans and butternut squash. I tried applesauce. Yum, i liked it. Mum mixed it in with my pureed chicken. I like chicken too.

I'm making a lot more noises now, and I have even learned a fantastic SCREECH that  really gets everyone's attention.

One of my favourite things is when Papa picks me up. I kick my legs... "giddyup Pappa!" and he walks around the house with me, letting me touch things... pictures on the wall, mommy's ornaments, keys hanging on the key rack. Not too long ago, Pappa let me get really close to one of mommy's plants and I pulled the whole thing down. YAY! What a mess, it was fun.

I still usually sleep really good at night. (except sometimes when I decide to wake up all night.)  And because I sleep so well at night, I have decided that I really don't need any naps during the day.

Mum and Papa think I do.

Peas, carrots, and mmmmm SWEET POTATOES!

Mum and Dad have me eating vegetables. They gave me bananas, but I dont think I liked them, they were a bit too sweet.

I really like my veggies, and I love putting my fingers in my mouth when I have a mouthful of peas and spreading them all over my face, hehe

Well, it was alot of fun. All the grown ups ate LOTS of food. My Grandma and Abuelita were very busy in the kitchen doing lots of stuff to help out my mum. There were lots of people over.

My Abuelitos Fernando and Edith were here, and so was my uncle Dan. They all stayed over on Christmas eve, and my dad and tio Dan played guitar together. That made me happy, because I love the guitar.

My Aunty Mary was here too, she slept over also. The next morning she said to my mum that our couch downstairs is SUPER uncomfortable, hehe.

Grandpa Minuk and Grandpa Mc Innes and Uncle Shaun, Uncle Scott and Rick were also here.

And of course my hermanos y hermana were here also.

What a great time we had.

I wish it could be Christmas every day! But with a wonderful familia like mine, it IS like Christmas every day.

Well, today was a great day.

We went out to Wal-Mart and Dante got a new playpen, so now he has a safe place off of the floor to stretch his legs and kick and play.

Daddy also bought him a Singing Pablo the Penguin stuffed animal. He is a character from a children's show called The Backyardigans . And he also got a Puppy that sings and helps with learning. You can squeeze his ear, tummy, paw and foot and he will sing. He is super cute.

He is growing SO fast! 

And Dante has been growing like crazy!

At our last Dr checkup, September 25th, Dante weighed in at 12lbs and 9.5 ounces.

Way to Grow little guy :)

Approximately three weeks prior to that visit, August 28th, he was 9lbs  8 ounces so he has gained three pounds in three weeks He is at the 75-90% in growth.

Dante is very alert, smiling, looking around, trying to grab things. He is still trying to get his fingers or hand into his mouth to suck on, but his coordination isnt super great yet and it takes alot of work to KEEP them in there. He hates pacifiers. It would be nice if he would take one , because sometimes he is VERY fussy!

He is eating about every two hours, sometimes three hours at night, and is a far way from sleeping through the night, but we love him so much that the lack of sleep isnt too hard to deal with. We are just so happy to have him here.  

Well, its time to put up some new pictures! 

He still has no appreciation for sleep, but what he lacks in thoughtfulness for other people's sleep, he makes up for in being adorable!!! :)

I am watching him snooze in his bouncy chair. It is after 8:30, and try as I might, i CANT make him stay awake. He had a huge late afternoon nap.. the only real nap he takes, so right now I cant help it. I have to let him sleep.... it allows me to finally enjoy a cup of tea. hehe. He is truly just a darling little guy!
