Seriously, has it been six months already?  Where did the time go?  My baby is getting so big, so fast.  I don't think it's fair. My baby is going to be up and walking, eating "people" food before you know it.  Today most of the day I was in a cloud literally wondering where the time had gone.  It sure as heck doesn't feel like it's been six months.

She is such a big girl already.  Mya loves to roll all over the house and her bed, she'll play so hard that she falls asleep on the floor or in her jumper and has a smile so amazing that I know all our Angel friends and family in Heavan can see it.  Just when I think the day was amazing, the next day gets even  better. I still can't believe Mya has only been in our lives physically for six months. It seems just yesterday we were in Washington welcoming the love of my life.  I honestly can't remember what life was like without her. Derrick and I are so blessed and will be forever be grateful to God for his amazing blessings.

Mya will be starting a new class at daycare on Monday, she will be in classroom 4 for the 6-12 months babies.  The teachers that she had in her 8wks - 6 month class were amazing.  Mya and I both bonded with them and to not see them everyday is going to be a huge adjustment for us both I think.  I just hope classroom 4 knows that they are getting a pretty amazing little girl.  Derrick couldn't believe that in her classroom there were some babies walking.  I guess it all comes full circle if you think about it.  In her class she is moving from they are sitting up and rolling over and in this new classroom she will be walking and eating table food when she leaves.  Yikes, that seems so far away when you think about it but honestly those days will be here before we know it. The best part is that Mya will be with some of her other friends from classroom 1, including her BFF Elysa. 

I know it's long overdue but last night was Mya's first night sleeping in her own bedroom.  She did wonderful even though I was a nervous wreck. I understand she needs her own space and place to call her own, but Im not ready to have my baby sleeping not by my side (in her bassinett of course).  I rocked her to sleep and it took me a long time to finally put her in her crib.  After I triple checked that her bedroom windows were locked and that she was perfectly tucked in I kissed her a gazillion times and finally shut the door. We checked on her before we went to bed and then listened and watched through the video monitor until it was time for bed.  But like I said earlier, she was great, she slept like the angel that she is.  Dang, I can't believe my little girl is growing so fast.  Only 11 more days until she is 6 months old! 

A few weeks ago we started giving Mya "real" food.  At first it was slow while we all got used to the process but now she is eating like a pro. She gets cereal and a fruit in the morning and then for dinner she gets the same.  So far she likes applesauce, bananas, cereal and carrots.  We are slowly introducing different things a week at a time.  Luckily (knock on wood) she hasn't had any reactions to anything.  Tonight I think we will try peaches.

Mya's 1st Valentines Day has come and gone. Theday was perfect. It was lots of love and laughs spent with family that day.  Mya had her first night out on the town with someone other than her mom and dad.  She went to dinner with her Grandparents.  Of course after Derrick and I had our dinner I just had to call home to make sure all was well. Of course it was, I just can't take leaving my baby at home!

Today Myas school had an art show.  Yes, even the babies had artwork on display, it was too cute.  She had two wonderful painting and of course I bought them.  Well, sorta.  It was all part of a fundraiser.  I swear she is the next big deal in the world of finger paints!

She has officially taken over the living room.  We took the coffee table out and now she has free reign.  She rolls everywhere imaginable and smiles and talks the whole time she is doing it. Even the teachers at daycare comment on how quick she is rolling around.  At school they call her Hurricane. 

Today was Myas 4 month checkup, all seems to be perfect.  She is now a whopping 13.3 lbs and 25.25 inches long.  yep, she has to get that length from her dad! We got the go ahead to start rice ceral now and fruits next month.  Where has my baby gone, food, already?  She is doing better than wonderful, everyday is perfect. I cant believe she will soon be 6 m,onths old.
