Ears Pierced

Today we took Mya to Clares to have her ears pierced. She did so good and of course looks so darn cute. She cried for a few minutes afterwards but once she settled down she fell asleep in my arms. We clean her ears 3x's a day and she is an angel through it all. I was nervous at first but I would'nt change it for the world. Again, I have to admit she looks pretty darn cute!

So today was a tough one for me. It was the first day that she and I have been seperated in the past 10.5 weeks. I have been so blessed to have been off work for so long. But all good things but come to an end. I took Mya to "school" on Monday. She did great, she played, slept and ate (what a great life) and meet some new friends. I on the other hand was emotional (of course). I took her about an hour before I had to be at work and stayed about 50 minutes and then finally after a few failed attempts I was able to actually leave. I cried of course. But I was able to get some good pictures of her 1st day of "school" before I had the puffy eyes and red face, LoL. She loves it! I go to see her on my lunch breaks and after work I'm speeding to pick her up. I miss her terribly! I can't wait to see her because I get the biggest smiles ever when she see's me and those smiles alone make my life complete. I'm doing better though, today I only pulled out my photo album three times.

This past weekend Mya went to the beach for the 1st time. We traveled to Daytona Beach for our cousins volleyball game. Mya loved the beach (okay, so really she slept the whole time we strolled) and the weather was amazing. She had on a cute little sundress and everything. I must say for someone that has only been alive for 2.5 months, she is well traveled.

Mya passed her 2 month check up with flying colors. She is in the 25% for her weight and 75% for her height. Looks like she will be tall just like her daddy. She was a good sport about her 4 shots too. She cried but once I picked her up and comforted her she was good. She even fell asleep in the car, guess it was just too much excitement for one afternoon. So far she seems to be doing well i.e. no fever or fussiness. Her four month appointment will be the beginning of January. It seems so far but the holidays will come and go before we know it. Check out the photo album for a picture of her ouchies ... yep, I took a picture.

Mya and I found a quiet little park on base so we strolled around and enjoyed the day by taking some pictures. She stayed awake for most of the walk, staring at the scenery. She was a good sport for the pictures even while I was figuring out the timer on the camera. The great thing about being in Georgia is the weather is so nice that Mya and I are outside alot more than we would be if we were in Washington.

Mya just got a Bright Starts playyard and LOVES it. The playyard is a toy mat that lays on the floor with two toy bars that hang above her. She kicks and hits the toys that hang above her. There is a mirror attached to one of the toy bars and Mya will just lie on the floor and look at herself. I'm not sure if she knows that she is actually looking at herself but regardless it's fun to watch. She would lay on the floor kicking and playing most of the day we'd let her. Mya loves playing first thing in the morning after she wakes up. I'll put her down to play while I get her breakfast bottle and she just smiles and talks the entire time. Needless to say, she makes the mornings (heck, our lives) amazing. Be sure to check out Mya in action in her photo album.

Today is Mya's very 1st Halloween. She is celebrating the day by wearing a Halloween outfit with a super cute bow in her hair. Tonight we are going to take some pics of her passing out candy in her PeaPod costume to the kids. I can't believe it is already the end of October. Before we know it her 1st Christmas will be here. I'll be sure that she doesn't eat all of her candy at once ..hehe.
Oh and the contractors are finally finished painting her room. I can't wait to get in there and decorate it so she has a place to call her own. It just doesn't feel like our home with a baby's nursery.

Today while on her belly for tummy time Mya decided she didn't want to be on her tummy any longer. Yep, she rolled over to her back. It must have scared her because she started to cry immediatley. I was so proud of her though, she's perfect!
