Daycare already
posted on 10/28/2008

Well, I went and enrolled Mya is daycare today. Yikes, it is all happening so fast.  I still have about two weeks off so I've got time to adjust but still, just the thought of going back to work and leaving her alone for 8 hrs is tough.  There are mommies that have been doing it for ages, she and I will be fine ... I hope.

2 Months Old
posted on 10/27/2008

Where did the time go, is she really two months old already?  It has been amazing. She is such a baby now instead of a newborn.  She loves to smile and talks our ears off all day long.  The cooing is like music to my ears, I love it.  She is so alert and awake is makes for lots of memories and laughs. She is sleeping less and less during the day and thankfully she is sleeping all through the night.  We couldn't be any luckier, she's perfect.  During the day we are reading books, having lots of tummy and back time, taking lots of pictures, playing with toys and walking around the neighborhood.  I can't imgine leaving her when I go back to work, it is going to be so hard.

Georgia ...Finally!
posted on 10/20/2008

Four days, alot of animal seditives and a million bottles later we are finally in Georgia.  The ride was long and tiring but we all managed to make it in one piece.  Mya wa wonderful, she slept most of the time but was able to stretch her arms and legs during our many gas station breaks. Traveling with a newborn was totally not what I expected, luckily for us it was better than we thought it would be.  We are not getting settled into our new house and new town. I can't wait to take Mya for walking around the neighborhood while the weather is so nice down here. Thanks for thinking of us, your prayers were much needed.  But we are all glad that trip is behind us.

Daddy will be back soon
posted on 09/27/2008

So Daddy left today and is heading to Georgia with half of the house. Mya and I are on our own for the next few weeks. It is going to be an adjustment for the two of us since we have had a housefull of help the past month. No more shifts for feedings and no more extra hands.  But we will work it out, we just need time to get used to our new schedule . We have lots to do in the meantime i.e. pack up the rest of the house and spend time with our friends.  Hopefully Daddy and Uncle Sean make it to Georgia in once piece, safe and sound.  Daddy will be back to get us soon and we will start an adventure of a lifetime; traveling with a 6wk old and a cat.

Mya is starting to stay up longer during the day and she loves laying on her back and kicking.  She enjoys when I play with rattles with her and read books.  She can even hold a rattle for a few minutes.  I can't believe how big she is getting already.
