5 weeks to go!  Where does the time go? We're in the middle of a couple of renovation projects right now that we're hoping will be complete before Baby D arrives.  We have to finish a couple of bathrooms and our master bedroom.

The stairs are already getting to me so I can only imagine what it's going to be like carrying a growing boy up and down the stairs.

We're about halfway through setting up the nursery.  We still need to move my desk and office stuff out of the room and add some decorations to the wall.  I'm supposed to be making some small painting of shapes.  I hope to do that this weekend.

Hello Week 34!

Not much new is happening this week.  I've made some calls to find a pediatrician.  I'm starting to get my bag ready for the hospital and Dan and I generally continue to get ready for Baby D's arrival.

I'm 33 weeks today. 

Dan and I attended a daylong childbirth class.  The instructor was very funny and we learned a lot.  Now, we just need to remember all (or some of) that information when the big day arrives. 

Our good friends Denise, Molly, Susan, Annie and Tina hosted a couple's shower for us this past Saturday.  Here are a few photos from that evening.

32 weeks today.

Some of the furniture arrived this week.  Baby D now has a crib and changing table.  The rocker is supposed to arrive later this month.  Dan had a late night of putting the crib and changing table together.  We still have a few things to do to the nursery but it should be ready by the time Baby D arrives.

We've decided to delay our garage project to finish renovation projects in our main living space, so my office will be in the nursery for a while.

My big project next week is to resume my search for a pediatrician.

31 weeks and counting!

Dan and I made a big step this past weekend and bought baby furniture.  We got a crib, a changing table and a nice big rocker.  We have a few weeks before the furniture arrives for Dan to paint the room.  Unfortunately, we've recently discovered the room that was going to be the baby's room isn't going to work because it's too drafty.  So, now we have to move the furniture from the room into another room to make it the baby's room. Once that is done, Dan will be able to paint.  Hopefully, we can get all that done before the baby's furniture arrives in a few weeks.

We had an ultrasound today to check on Baby Dodson's growth.  He was very active during the ultrasound.  I guess he didn't like the warm jelly and probe being rubbed across my belly.

Today he weighs 3lbs 9 ounces.

I'm 30 weeks today.

Other than some exxaggerated symptoms (heartburn, burping, etc.), I'm feeling pretty well.  Dan and I are finally going to do some real shopping for the baby this weekend.  I've been looking for a while but since we'll be in New York this weekend for Dan's company function, we're going to one of the stores I've been surfing on the Internet.  Dan said he liked some of the stuff on the site so I think we're making progress.

I'm 29 weeks today.  Not much new is happening with us.  Baby Dodson is still doing well.  We're going to have an ultrasound in the next couple of weeks to check on his growth progress.  Here is a photo of what I currently look like:
