She's here!!!!

KERI BRADEEN DUNCAN joined the world fast and furious on 12/29/2009.  She arrived 2 hours after Mommy went into labor (only 15 minutes after arriving at the hospital).  Keri was so quick to arrive that her mommy couldn't have any drugs or even an IV.  She was 7lbs, 9oz 20 1/2 inches long.  BEAUTIFUL!!!

Big Boy Blake is almost 2 years old!!!!!!  Can you believe it?  We are planning a BBQ party with a farm animal theme for his birthday.  If you'd like to attend, let Lucas or Emily know.  He loves to mimic animal noises so I'm brainstorming cute birthday cake ideas.  (Maybe a cow or a duck or a pig)

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!

Blake is going to soon be a big brother.  We are all so excited.  Having one child of each sex will be so much fun.  We are going to see if we can get the ultrasound video onto the website.  It is really interesting.  She has 10 fingers, 10 toes, and looks perfect.  We were going to wait to find out he sex of the baby but we just couldn't handle the suspence.  :-)

Blake is going to be a great big brother.  He is starting to learn how to follow instructions and can bring Mommy and Daddy items that they ask for.  He also has a baby that he likes to kiss, hug and share his beverages with.  We are working with the concept of being gentle and the kitties are the unwilling guinea pigs for that one.   But, we think he is showing some improvement.

Mommy is feeling great this pregnancy.  I don't know how I lucked out in this, but pregnancy really agrees with my body.  I was sure that this baby was a boy as well due to the lack of morning sickness and other symptoms but I guess I am just a lucky lady.  :-)  The only symptom I am currently dealing with is some back pain and thanks to AWESOME insurance, I've been getting weekly massages to address that. 

Daddy is over the moon!  While Emily was sort of rooting for another little boy (to avoid those fun girl teenage years! HA HA), Lucas was hoping, wishing and praying for a little girl.  He is already wrapped around her miniscule finger and I'm hoping we can keep the spoiling to a minimum.  :-)  (Says the lady who went crazy buying pink stuff the day she found out, ha ha) 

Meanwhile, the Duncan family is brainstorming baby girl names.  They can't start with a B or a D and should sort of match Blake in style.  If you have any suggestions, feel free to tell us.  However, we are super secret about the name and won't tell you if we like it or not.  :-)
