Well as usual I was up early again - 4:35am lol

Hubby's snoring woke me up and I find it so hard to get back to sleep when he snores so got up, had my milk and had a bit of burgen toast with banana on it, seems to be the flavour at the moment!

Well I have made it through another week. I am now FIVE weeks pregnant! WOW hahahaha only 245 days to go according to my ticker!  Geez to think that I thought my managers pregnancy went quick..hmm what was I thinking! This is definitely number one on the list of being 'the longest waits of my life'

I am feeling good today. Woke up without the queazyness so I am happy about that. Will be interesting this time next week to see if it hits me, ppl that I have told are telling me "look out at week 6" Boobs are starting to get a bit sensitive to touch. I was in the shower last night and the water hitting them was not nice.

I had a bit of trouble with my back last night.  Was very uncomfortable so ended up using a hot water bottle before I went to sleep. Thankfully the pain has subsided and this morning it is alot better.  My 'Klippel Fiel' syndrome in my back I know is going to be a problem as I get 'bigger' so I am going to look into starting Pilates or Yoga and step up the amount of core work I do, hopefully it will help.  I have just finished doing half an hour on the treadmill and it has started to hurt again, I can feel alotta massages coming on!

We had a huge down pour of rain last night and I overheard last night on the news they reckon it is going to be alot 'cooler' on xmas day compared to the last cpl of years . We have had so much rain lately, kinda strange to think that we are in the middle of summer and getting rain like we are in winter!   Very bizzare!

Work for me today at 12:00 until 8:30pm. Have to teach Body Pump tonight so that shall be interesting.  Light weights for me tonight I feel!

Anyways off to eat, starving once again!

Obstetrician appointment made!
posted on 11/12/2007

Well how exciting... I have just made the first appointment to see an Obstetrician (OB)

Date is set for 18th Febuary 2008.  I will be about 14 and a half weeks which is perfect timing as I told the lady I spoke to I didnt want to have to see the OB until I really needed to.

I am happy that that is all organised, now it is just a matter of playing the waiting game.  It seems like such a long time away but yeah cant make time go any quicker so just have to deal with it Laughing

I have made the decision to go private and have the baby at John Flynn Hospital.  It has great reviews from what I have read and have chosen to see DR GEOFF TRUEMAN.  He has a good reputation on the Gold Coast.

Feeling very good today, was out earlier this morning doing a bit of shopping.

Going to work soon (start at 12:00) and have RPM to teach tonight.  Should be a pretty good afternoon.

Off to get some lunch now, absolutely starving!

Blood Results all good!
posted on 10/12/2007

Well what an anxious but busy morning!

Had to teach a class, had a program to do and had a PT client.  Made my shift going very fast .... Hoorah!

Went to see doctor at 2:45pm.  My blood tests are all fine.

HCG and Progesterone levels within the range for the 1st trimester so I am happy with that.

HCG was 290

Progesterone was 83

So I can breathe a sign of relief (for now anyways).

Next appointment is booked for 7th January.  I will be 8 and a half weeks by then so I have asked for my doctor to give me a referral for my 1st scan then.  He said he is more than happy to do that so thats good :)

Anyways off to organise dinner.  I cant believe how quickly I get hungry.  I am eating like every two hours!!

A beautiful morning but.....
posted on 09/12/2007

Just woke up and feeling just a tad queazy so have just made myself a couple of 2 pieces of toast - Burgen Bread with peanut butter.

It is very strange how I dont have an appetite.  Maybe its too early but at the moment I seem to be eating LESS.  Lately, I have been getting so full really quickly.  I am trying to keep up routine of eating every 2 to 3 hours and eating well.  Bit of an exception last night after the movie hubby wanted to go to KFC for dinner Laughing so I ended up having to get some chicken nuggest, thought that would be the safest thing to eat.

I am making sure I get my calcium by drinking a glass of Anlene milk in the morning at breakfast and then another one at night before I go to bed.  Anlene is supposed to have 50% of your RDI in one 250ml glass so I am happy with that as I am sooo not a milk drinker but it actually tastes nice!

Another working week starts for me today, Sunday is always my Monday.  Boy I will be glad when I am not working Sunday anymore lol   The hours just seem to drag on, its a very painful day usually.

Mum brought us our first lot of baby stuff yesterday.  I walked into our bedroom when we got home from the movie to see a big gift bag sitting on our bed.   She had brought us some jumpsuits, a couple of singlets and some kids hangers which are pretty cool.  All in white of course - until we know whether we are having a boy or a girl.

Well the time is getting closer to my doctors appointment tomorrow.  2:45pm is when I will get the confirmation, I cant wait to have it all confirmed and ask my doctor when I can get my first scan done.  It is just too exciting!

Anyways gonna leave it here......

Ouchies

Well today was such a hot, muggy day and it didnt help the fact that 'snooks' was giving me a lot of discomfort down there.  This afternoon I felt like someone was holding onto my tubes and twisting them, it was awful!

I also struggled this afternoon with quite bad back pain so I have decided to invest in one of those heat packs next time I am at Terry White Chemist.

I had to have a power nap this afternoon I was that exausted Laughing  Mind you we did do all the housework this morning too (vaccuming and washing floors) so that might explain the tiredness too.  Have been good so far with the nausea havent felt it yet so I am hoping it stays away but I suppose I will know in the next couple of weeks.

Went to the movies this afternoon and watched "Bee Movie" - it was ok, not as funny as I thought it would be.

So yeah bit of an uneventful day today, back to work tomorrow...ughhh!   I really do dislike sunday's but ahhh well..... I guess its an easy day lol

Well gonna leave it here, John Edward is just about to start on Austar.....

Blood Test today, YAY!
posted on 06/12/2007

What a morning it has been!

Thought I would go into Broadbeach early to get the BT out of the way.

Arrived around 8am to be asked 'have you fasted this morning'

I said 'no' as I had asked the doctor whether I needed to fast and he said no but turns out he had marked 'fasting' on the lab slip... grrrrr not happy!  I asked if they could do it anyway (as i had eaten a little bit of cereal) lady said no so I stormed out just a tad annoyed.  It is so hard to get in to see my doctor at short notice.

I wasnt going to accept the fact that I couldnt get the BT done today so decided to go back to the surgery to have it clarified.  It was 8:30am by then and had to wait until doctor came in at 9am. Ended up missing seeing my doctor before he called his first patient in but managed to speak to the nurse who advised 'no you dont need to fast for those tests, they should know that'  lol

So off I go BACK to broadbeach AGAIN...... walk in to the lab again to see a different lady, explained the situation and she said "no thats fine they can be done, I am terribly sorry we shouldnt of sent you away"..... you can imagine my reaction , not impressed is probably the subtle way of putting it  haha

So all of that out of the way, I was able to get it all done and now I can look forward to hearing the results on Monday (10 Dec) when I go back to see my doctor.

I cant wait to have it confirmed..... I am just so excited!

Well I am home from my doctors appointment to get referral for blood test.

Decided to buy another Discover One Step home test just for reassurance.

Today at a guess I am about 14 DPO - this test was done at 5:45pm

Am thrilled with the result, think 'snookums' is gonna be a strong one!
