Well hello again.  Another good night last night.  Kye slept from 8:15pm right through until 5:15am this morning - no feed, hooray!!

Have a funny feeling he wont sleep through tonight but.  I just tried giving him a bottle before and he spewed it up LOL  I'm guessing he was still a bit full from his bottle at 2pm haha

Well today was weigh in day again and I am pleased to say that in two weeks Kye has managed to put on 440 grams taking his total weight to 8.3kg!!  He is now off the chart in his book for everything - weight, height and head circumfrence.  Something tells me he aint ever gonna be anywhere near the 'average'  hehe

Anyways gotta shoot - he is asleep and I'm starving!

Just popping in quickly to report that Kye had another great night last night.  He slept from 8pm through until 5:30am this morning, hooray!!! So proud of him!!

He's been slightly off his milk today, only drinking little amounts at a time but ahh well I guess hes gotta have days where he isnt as hungry.  I have a funny feeling tonight will not be a 'sleep through' night because of this.  Unless he decides to guzzle like over 250ml within a few hours LOL.... highly unlikely hehe but ya never know!

I have just finished making a Thai beef salad for dinner, I'm starving so going to eat while I can LOL

Well it has been a very long time since I posted here.  Must make a more regular attempt but as you can understand life is very hectic now days!!  I cant believe that Kye is 12 weeks tomorrow, where has the time gone - only seems like yesterday he was a newborn!

We reached a milestone last night in regards to sleeping.  He slept right through without a feed, hooray!!  Usually he wakes to feed around 3am but yeah last night he didnt - he slept till 6am, so proud of him.  I'm hoping this is a turning point and he will continue to keep on this routine, cross fingers anyways.  Will be interesting to see what he does tonight.

He also had his first swim in our pool yesterday.  We had him all decked out in his swimmers and his sunhat; he looked so cute!!  He wasnt too keen at first but once he had paddled his feet in the water a few times he got used to it.  We tried him again today and he was fine, loved it - managed to keep him happy for about 10 minutes.  I was holding him doing outboard motor noises which made him laugh LOL 

He's also getting better at sleeping during the day.  The first few weeks were shocking - he just wouldnt go to sleep during the day in his cot.  Even now I guess he is still like that; prefers to sleep in his rocker during the day.  I think he's afraid he will miss out on something.

I have been giving him more and more tummy time this week and he is now beginning to master the whole art of pushing up with his arms and holding his head up.  He's lifted his legs off the ground like superman a few times too in the past couple of days, so amazing to see his acheivements till now.  I cant wait for him to do the more major ones like crawling, talking and walking!

Anyways must fly and get some jobs done while the man is asleep.

Oh my goodness, another week has passed and Kye is TWO WEEKS OLD today!

Yesterday was a shocker, he was so unsettled.  In the end, we came to the conclusion he had colic so I went to the chemist and got some 'Infants Friend' and what a life saver that was!  Helped ALOT!!  He managed to sleep for a 4 hours which is sooo not like him and he did a big poo as well which I was happy about LOL  He has no problem in the farting department..... lets rip some beauties - as they say "better out than in" hehe

Anyways the man is asleep so I am going to go and have a nap myself before he wakes up again.  It is so easy to just keep going but I am slowly learning to force myself to rest when he rests so that I dont get completely exhausted!!

Well today we had our first visit back at the hospital and I am happy to say that Kye has gained 290 grams, woohoo!   I am so pleased with that.  All the hard work of breastfeeding is paying off.  Still feeling a little tired and a bit overwhelmed but am slowly getting there.  He is starting to get into a routine; is waking every 2.5 to 3 hours.  Am hoping to try and get that to 4 hours but as everyone says "he is a big boy" so needs alot of boob and top ups LOL

I really laugh when I think back to when I was pregnant how easy it was and how much spare time I had - boy does ya world change once they arrive hehe but I am thoroughly enjoying mummy hood. Couldnt imagine my life without Kye now!

Happy one week to Kye!

Oh my goodness I cant believe he is already a week old, scary!  Now I know what people mean when they say treasure every moment, time IS going by so quickly!

We have been home since Friday and we’re slowly settling into a good routine. 

Kye’s sleeping patterns have been a bit all over the place due to my milk not being the greatest but today I went to Terry White chemist and hired an electric pump so I can express so I am finding that is helping.

We go back to the clinic at the hospital on Thursday so I am going to ask if I can get a script for Motilium to help increase my supply, hopefully that will do the trick!

Anyways the man is calling so must run.  I'm working on my birth story so will post it in here as soon as it’s done!

Well hooray to it FINALLY being the 14th of August - it is officially Snooks due date today!  I cant believe that it is finally here, it certainly has been a longgg road!

Have been trying a few things today to get him to get his butt into gear but as yet no success.

Things I have tried so far:

* Eaten a whole fresh pineapple (apparently supposed to help soften the cervix)

* Went for a walk this morning with Sasha

* Been out shopping at Aldi

* Bounced on my fitball

but yeah still no signs bar a few tightnings every now and then!  Will have to wait it out I guess and see if anything happens tonight!

Was real cold this morning but turned out to be a fairly nice day. Managed to sit outside for a while in the sun.

Oh well thats the update of yet another unproductive day in the life of us!

Well its monday again and today I have another Obstetrician appointment to go to at 9:50am.  Troy is coming along aswell.  Think I will need him for the support as he is going to do an internal examination so at least we should know whether anything has started to happen.  I was getting a few Braxton Hicks last night so I am hoping that was the start of something!  My belly feels a bit strange this morning though, its gone really hard at the front around my belly button and to me it doesnt seem as big, weird but yeah maybe I'm just paranoid LOL  Apart from that though I am feeling fine, not at that "over it" stage yet just more like the "impatient" stage hehe

Have been focussing alot on visualisations and affirmations these past couple of days tryin to get myself as prepared as I can mentally.  I even have my affirmations pinned on the toilet door haha .... crazy it may sound but yeah I am hoping it will all help me to deal with whatever happens come the time!  Bags are packed and in the car ready to go hehe
