Well another week is nearly down.  Gee I cant believe that tomorrow I will only have a week to go!

Havent been doing alot this week, just been at home relaxing - finishing off Snooks room etc  I got given a big box of clothes last week so folded all of them and put them away in his drawers to pass some time.  I got that bored yesterday I actually repacked my suitcase for hospital lol

Went out to Pacific Fair and had lunch with a friend today.  Went to a little italian cafe and had some Ham and Mushroom Tortellini which was really nice!  Came home, felt quite sleepy so had a lay down - woke up an hour and a half later.  Must of needed it  lol  so I feel quite refreshed, hopefully I will be able to sleep tonight.  It might be a longg night though.  I have two girlfriends that are in labour so I probably will be awake till quite late waiting for their news!!

Not alot to report about my OB appointment from Monday.  Snooks was still in the same position (head down) but thats the ideal position so I am happy for that. Feet still on right hand side and spine on the left.  OB mentioned that next mondays appointment he will probably do an internal to check my cervix but I'm thinking I might just leave it and let snooks choose his own birth date.  I dunno; just the thought of him poking and prodding around in there doesnt really make me feel that comfortable, would prefer things to all just happen naturally.  Will wait and see how I feel, thats if I even make it to Monday - snooks must decide he wants out before then hahaha

Have been thinking today how cool it would be to have him be born on the 8th.  Might have to start trying some things as at tomorrow to try and evict him hehe

Anyways thats about it from me for today!

Well its August OMG ..... only 13 days to go until Snooks is due!!

Have been feeling a bit "heavy" down low today.  Think its a sign Snooks is on his way south and is preparing for his grand arrival!  It really is quite freaky to think even this time next week he may well be here - I hope so it would be cool for him to have an 08/08/08 birthdate

Well I decided this afternoon (cause I'm that bored) to finally take the plastic off snooks mattress. I put the mattress protector on and thought what the heck I might as well go all the way and make his bed up... man I can't get over how organised I am, thank god I didnt listen to my dad and do all this before I finished work!   I even repacked my labour bag haha   My suitcase is sooo choccas.  The hospital will probably think omg girl are you planning on being here a month!! hehe

I ordered a CD on tuesday and it arrived today, so happy about that!  Its a relaxation one that I intend on using during the birth. Knowing my luck cause I'm so organised I'll have a quick labour and we wont even think to put it in the CD player!! I have just finished listening to it right through and I am really pleased with it. It has been specially composed for meditation by a guy who is a Yoga practitioner so even if I dont get to use it for the birth I can use it for post-natal Yoga which will be handy

Ahhh well thats about all there is to report.... my life is so exciting, NOT!  haha   Hopefully I will have some interesting stuff to start posting about in the next week or so - pains etc

Well its sunday, 7:00am and here I am up, and on the computer, what am I thinking? Had to get up though as I was starting to feel a bit nauseous so have just had a couple of pieces of toast with marmite and avocado on it, feel better now .  Feel like a glass of OJ but yeah will have to wait half hour or so as the juicer is too noisy this time of the morning.

Had a really good sleep again too! Only woke up once at 1:00am to pee, cant believe it! Me thinks thats why I am up now. I did my Yoga Relax CD last night before bed so that may also have something to do with it. Sat up and watched the Bledisloe Cup match; Snook's was being a little bugger movin' around; musta made him hypo with the raspberry cordial I had hehe

Well last night hubby spent hours playing bloody BF2 online so I decided I would work on writing my preferences for the birth.

I didnt want a birth PLAN as such as I know that many a time things arise that cant be foreseen but yeah it was good to put all my wishes onto paper so I am sure of what I WANT.

Decided I will have a copy in my labour bag and if need be it can be given to the MW's when I get to the hospital or hubby can reiterate it to them. So that out of the way, I am feeling alot calmer about the whole process. My girlfriend's quick delivery at the beginning of the week kinda started to freak me out a little bit but now that I have managed to create one for myself and actually have it in front of me on paper all is good again.

I see my OB again in the morning so I might even discuss it with him so at least he knows where I stand. I want to feel like I have the control but of course wouldnt undermine his knowledge and experience.

We're heading out for my birthday lunch today. Going to the buffet at Royal Pines Resort. Birthday isnt until Tuesday but hubby will be away in Cairns so we're celebrating today. Am looking forward to having a pig out but hey whats new, all I seem to think and talk about at the moment is food haha

It's a bit cooler here again today but thankfully the rain has gone. Hoorah to the dams being over 40% now. So good they have lifted the Level 6 restrictions - we can now wash the cars at home, omg!!

Anyways might jump back into bed - nobody else is up!

Well one week to go before my 30th birthday ..... woot!  

Had more news this morning that another girlfriend of mine had had her second bub, another girl .  Born last night at 11.29pm - another quick labour.  Went up to the hospital this morning and spent a few hours there.  She has already checked herself out and is now at home LOL said she felt fine and just wanted to get home.  Even the midwifes were surprised that she requested to go home so early hehe

I must admit, seeing her little girl, has really been a reality check for me.  It has hit home even more now that it aint that long until we'll be in the same situation.... have been passing 'good vibes' to snooks this afternoon saying when ya ready buddy ...just dont come TOO quick hehe

Its a cold afternoon here, looks like its going to rain again.  No plans this arvo - just chillin out which is what I'm meant to do right hehe Must make a start on getting dinner ready soon though.   Only just eaten about an hour ago but already feel hungry again LOL

Oh I weighed myself this morning - 79kgs

I also measured my belly too - 108cms

Ok gotta go peel the potatoes and get the vege organised!

Ok so I am back from my OB appointment. And yep he was late again, only an hour and a half!!!   He had a delivery this morning apparently so I will let him off this time but yeah everyone knows its a standard occurence.

Everything is good - heart rate is good, still nice and strong, fundal height is measuring 29? when i questioned him about it he said he measures his a little bit different to other OB's... his full term he classes at 30 so yeah I guess I'm not that far away.   He said Snooks is not 'engaged' as such yet but he has definitely moved down.   He is sitting in the same position as last appointment so hasnt moved - head down, spine on my LHS, feet on my RHS which I kind of figured from the movement I have been observing the past few days. He's estimated that he will be around the 3.4 kilo mark at birth (7.5 lb) I said "sweet I'm happy with that" hehe

I see him again on the 28th, hoorah the day before my birthday

I also had to do the last lot of bloodwork and my Strep B swab aswell so went to the lab on the way out thought I might as well get it over and done with.

As usual the lady struggled to find my veins - tried the left arm first, vein didnt even pop up, then changed to right arm; popped up a little bit so tried the needle, dug around for a while but with no success so said oh ok we'll try ya hand. OMG i feel like a pin cushion!!

So yeah I am home now, just having a bite to eat before I make a start on dinner.  Marinated chicken drumsticks with roast vege I think and will finish off the chocolate brownie I made the other day for dessert with some cream, yum!!

Well its the 11th of July - cant believe we are nearly at the middle of another month already.  18 more days until my 30th birthday... oh my goodness!

Am feeling uncomfortable today.  Alot of tightening happening in my belly and of course I'm still getting the pressure under my ribs.  The skin directly under my left boob is starting to stretch downwards and boy does it hurt.  Have been rubbing heaps of moisturiser and baby oil on that area which is kinda helping but yeah I will be so glad when he has dropped down so I can get some more relief.  Yesterday I started to feel a bit crampy down in my pelvis so I'm guessin' he is starting to move downwards.  For once I am actually looking forward to seeing my OB next friday to see how things are progressing.  Haven't seen him for like a month as he is on holidays. 

Have my appointment with the midwife at the hospital next Wednesday to go through the 'Birth Plan'.  I'm not intending on planning anything to be honest; as I know from our pre-natal classes things dont always go to plan.  Am aiming for a water birth with minimal pain relief; definitely giving the gas a go based on what others are telling me!   I guess for me it is a take-it-as-it-comes kinda scenario.  Something I will just have to judge at the time.  I have instructed my OB I am open to having an epidural if needed .... guess its just one of those things where we just have to wait-n-see and decide at the time!

Have booked a massage for next week - legs are starting to ache at night.  Slept in compression stockings last night which helped a little bit.  Actually managed to get a decent amount of sleep - usually a 2hour block is the max I'll get at any one time.  Guess my body is getting ready for the on-slought of breastfeeding hehe

I weighed myself this morning for a laugh.  I am up to 77kgs  so a total of 12.5kgs put on - hoping to stay under 80kgs but yeah who cares if I go over; I will worry about that later.  Belly is now measuring 106cm ... woah!!!  LOL

Anyways lunchtime, have to hunt down something to eat!

Well the border is up in Snooks room; it looks really good!  It feels more like a nursery now too.  Its only 6:30pm but I think I might hop into bed and just chill out for a while.  Havent had the best sleeps the past couple of nights   Last night I woke up at 11:30pm struggling to breathe ..... OMG the pressure under my ribcage was that bad I seriously thought my heart was going to stop! Bring on labour man, after what I experienced last night I can well and truly handle it I reckon!

Well we have just arrived home from dropping my friend off at the train station.  Only just made it to the platform in time but LOL Conductor was just blowing the whistle as we got there so there wasnt any time for goodbyes really, hubby helped get her suitcase on the train and I just had to wave as the train left.  Was a bit sad to see her go but I know we will see each other again soon.

'Saw 4' was pretty good - alot more graphic than the others!  If you want to watch a movie that keeps ya constantly thinking then get the 'Saw' series out - very cleverly written thats for sure!
