JOURNAL

10/05/2008

Sorry I have been missing in action for a while now.  Have been busy with work the past few weeks and I have been dealing with a bout of gastro for the past four days, going to the loo every 15 minutes certainly isnt nice and the lack of sleep is definitely not what I need at the moment.

I rang my OB's office on thursday and spoke to the midwife. She suggested it was best I go in to get checked out so we did.  My OB did an u/s to check snooks and he was fine.  I hadnt been able to eat or drink much so snooks' well being was obviously my main concern. OB said that my body will naturally look after him first and then of course me second!!!  I was advised to keep my fluid intake up as if I get dehydrated then it is more of a problem - would have to go into hospital and get put on a IV and I didnt want that.  It is just hard though when nothing seems appealing - I try and eat or drink and as soon as it hits my stomach comes out again.

I got worried again this morning when I woke up at 2:30am with quite bad stomach pain so woke Troy to ask him if it would be worth going to the hospital. Had a bit of an outburst - broke out in tears as I was just sooo over dealing with it all.  Managed to calm down and decided to do a google search and found a few threads on how to deal with the symptoms - one thread suggested taking Inner Health Capsules and another one mentioned Gastrolyte from the chemist so got Troy to go out to the chemist this morning and get both.

The gastrolyte is not the nicest tasting stuff but at least it means I am putting what I need back into my body.  My appetite is slowly starting to come back which is another good sign I guess but yeah still having very bland food.  Mum cooked up some rice this morning with a few vege and a little bit of chicken which doesnt taste too bad.

On a happier note, the change table arrived yesterday so I sent Troy out to pick it up this morning.  He has just finished assembling it and we have just put it in Snooks room.  (I have posted photos in the nursery album)
It is really great to now have the set!

The room is starting to come together now. Have decided we're not going to paint; we're just going to get new curtains to match the 'Friends' theme and we are going to have the quilt cover replicated onto canvas as the artwork for the walls, should look pretty good I reckon, well I am hoping lol

Anyway must leave it here and go and try and get some more Gastrolyte into me :(
