Comfort in God's word

I have added a "daily bible verse of the day" to our home page. It encourages me each day to read God's word and seek Him & His will for my life. I hope it will do the same for those who keep up with our website. The waiting during this adoption process has taught me several things about myself (good and not so good!), first of all, I do not like to be in situations that I am not in control of! God's word has reminded me that it is not about me and my plans but He has all things perfectly under control (remember He's the one who placed the stars in the heavens and calls them by name! Psalm 147:4 He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.) He knows the perfect timing for our little baby girl to come home, even though I wish it would happen right away, I do not know the beginning from the end-only God does. I guess I have found myself not having any other option but to let go, and this is the place God has taken me in order to learn some truth about His goodness and sovereignty. So.....now, finally, I am choosing to trust and not get so anxious about the timing of this adoption. But instead, praising God for who He is, His love for us and His blessing of this little child that will join our family soon! Have a great day! Trish
