Standing up!  It was just about 3 weeks ago that I sat up for the first time on my very own and now I'm already standing!  That's right, this morning when Mommy came to get me from my crib she expected to see me sitting up in my crib, but I gave her a suprise!  I was standing hanging onto the railing of the crib!  Mommy said, "Wow, when did you learn that trick!"

Today I went for my well baby check up at the doctore...thank goodness I didn't have to get any shots this time.  But I did get weighed and measured and guess what....I've grown!  I weighed 19lbs. 3oz. was 28.25 inches long, and my noggin measured at 17.25 inches!!

I'M SPENT! - Today Mommy and Daddy took me for more pictures.  I went to the portrait studio where they took about a million pictures of me!  UGH, it was exhausting.  I got to wear some pretty dresses and it was fun getting my pictures taken with my family (Me, Mommy, Daddy, Grandma Stansberry, and Grandma and Grandpa Hodges), but after about my 4th outfit change I started to get a little crabby.

I'm sure someday I'll be embarassed by some of the pictures taken today...and I'll never understand why Mommy and Daddy feel the urge to dress me up like Pooh and a Snowman!  But Mommy couldn't stop talking about how cute I am!

Goin' to the Pumpkin Patch!  Today Mommy, Daddy, Grandma Hodges and I all went to the Pumpkin Patch!  We had so much fun and you wouldn't believe all of the beautiful fall colors that surrounded us...now I understand why Mommy says that this is her favorite time of year!

I got to sit in the pumpkin patch with all those pumpkins.  A lot of those pumpkins were even bigger than me!  My favorite part of sitting with all those pumpkins around me was playing with the hay/straw on the ground.  I even tasted it and some of the pretty leaves on the ground around it....but they didn't taste so good.

Then Daddy took me for a ride in a wheelbarrow!

That was fun, and we went out farther into the field and picked out our pumpkin.  Then we went to the scale to weigh it.  Daddy weighed me and the pumpkin on the same scale.  I weighed 20 lbs. and our pumpkin weighed 22 lbs.Sealed

Then we bought some yummy apples at the farm when we paid for our pumpkin.  Mommy let me chew on her apple a little bit, and it tasted good!  Way tastier than that straw and leaf I tried in the pumpkin patch!  Daddy finally cut a piece of his apple off with his pocket knife and put it in my "chewy" - that was YUMMY!

On our way to the car we stopped at some funny wood paintings where Grandma Hodges had me put my face intoa cutout of a farmer, a ghost, and a scarecrow.  It was pretty fun day!

STANDING UNASSISTED FOR THE FIRST TIME!  Today Daddy called to Mommy, "Quck, come quick!"  Mommy came running and saw what made Daddy so excited.  Daddy had placed me in my playpen on my feet and took his hands away and I stayed standing - all by myself!  I stayed up for about 30 seconds and then started to topple over.  Daddy put me up on my feet again, and there I stood again!

I LOVE TO SWIM!  Today I went swimming for the very first time.  Mommy and Daddy took me to Watet Babies, a swimming class for babies and their parents at the local health club.  We had so much fun, I was the youngest kid there.  I love the water!  I wasn't scared one little bit.  Soon after getting into the pool I was learning how to kick my feet and splash!  It was so much fun that since the Water Babies class was only 1/2 hour, Mommy and Daddy took me back for family swim time later that day.Sealed

PATTY CAKE, PATTY CAKE! - Today Grandma Hodges picked me up from daycare early and I got spend the afternoon with her.  We always have so much fun together, and now that I'm a big girl and can clap, Grandma Hodges taught me Patty Cake!  We played and played together...and now I'm pretty good at the "Patty Cake" part, because now I can even make a little clapping sound with my hands.  I'm still not good at the "Roll the Dough" part but I sure have fun watching grown-ups do it!Laughing

ON THE MOVE!  I'm crawling all over the place these days.  Sometimes I get up on all four and rock back and forth and then take a couple of crawling strides forward.  But my favorite way to travel is by dragging my self with my right arm.  I lay flat on my belly and just pull myself along with my right arm, I make pretty good time traveling that way!  The people at daycare call me "armyman" because I craw like a solider in a war zone.Cool

CLAPPING HANDS - Today I started clapping my hands together for the first time!  I wasn't making much sound doing it, but my little hands were doing the motion of clapping.  Everytime Mommy saw me do it she would clap too and say, "Yay for Lisie!"  We had so much fun!
