Thankful for an early Christmas

Even before Thanksgiving, I opened my first Christmas present. Because mommy has to work so much in December, we won't be able to visit daddy's family in Escanaba, so Gram Joyce came to spend a week with us and celebrate early. We had so much fun together! I loved when she sang and did the finger play for "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and she let me walk around the house (with her help to stand) looking for the kitties.

I was spoiled with gifts. Great-Grandma Sophie gave me a pretty purple and pink blanket, Gram Joyce got me tons of cool things--I really like to play with my Disney princess ball and the Peter Rabbit plate, bowl, and cup that make lots of noise when I bang them together--and my Great-Aunt Louise and Great-Uncle Richard gave me a Vtech Laptop.

After all that time at home with Gram Joyce, I spent only a couple of days back with Miss Sarah before daddy's Thanksgiving break started. We had all of the day before the holiday together, and made a special visit to mom at work. There were so many people at Grammy and Grampy's house. I entertained all of them.

In only a few weeks, we'll have Christmas again--with lots more people celebrating this time--and then mom will be able to be home with us more again. I'm going to take my first trip to Madison to meet Brian, Gail, and Caleb Good. It's been an exciting holiday seaons already. I'm thankful that I have so many people in my life that love me, and they tell me they're thankful for me, too.
