Pregnancy Update--Week 29
posted on 02/11/2008

What a BUSY past couple of weeks we've had...

Our crib bedding finally came in and it looks great! Blake and I went over to Hobby Lobby with the blanket and picked out colors for the paisley wall stenciling. Blake started painting this weekend and it is going fabulously! He is doing such a great job...what a wonderful husband I have! Hopefully we'll get it all done this week, then I'll post some pictures.

We also had our Peek A Baby Ultrasound. Too bad our little lady wasn't being very cooperative Frown We tried three seperate times in two days to get a peek at her and get some video and pictures, but she wasn't having it. Could this be a sign of what's to come ? Wink Anyway, we rescheduled the session for the 21st. Maybe by then she will have turned in to a different position that makes it easier to see her. P.S. It is DEFINITELY a girl. More waiting...

Our first baby shower also came and went. The shower was awesome! All of the hostesses did a wonderful job, I was very pleased. I also learned that Blake and I are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family (not that I had any doubt). We received so many wonderful gifts to help us get ready for baby and so many came out to share this joyous occasion with us. THANK YOU all for your participation and generosity (you know who you are)! It was a wonderful day and I felt like Queen of the World! (I've posted some pictures from the shower here on this site, but if you wish to see ALL of them, check out my myspace or facebook)

The latest dr. appointment went pretty well. I am still measuring a week ahead of where I am, so that is kind of interesting. The baby's heartbeat was strong and healthy. Dr. Kirkman also measured the baby's head and said it was a "good size." We will see what that means for us at the next ultrasound, which is scheduled for the 27th. We will also get to find out what position the baby is in and all the fun stuff we need to know for delivery! Speaking of labor/delivery, Blake and I took a birthing class on Saturday. It was very helpful, to say the least. I have been pretty nervous about what to expect and this class just laid it all out about what is going to happen. Knowledge really is power! They also taught me some relaxation breathing techniques and showed Blake some great "touch therapy" (massage skills).  Only about 10 weeks to go before she is here!

Pregnancy Update--Week 27
posted on 01/24/2008

Well...

We had another dr.'s appointment today and to our surprise the doc decided to do an ultrasound to "take a peek" at our little one! Of course, I was thrilled to get to see her again...I was having withdrawals from not seeing her in a while. And MY how she has GROWN! She is about two and a half pounds now and she was moving all over the place. We saw her sucking on her hand (yes, she had ALL her fingers in her mouth), punching me right in the belly, and yawning! The doc took a picture as she was yawning, it was so awesome to see her all mobile Cry  Blake is confident that he saw a very clear picture of her face and that she has my mouth and his cheeks.Smile  I couldn't tell anything really but you can see the picture of her yawning in the photos section.

We verified that it IS in fact a GIRL (not that there was any doubt) and that she is healthy and growing as normal at this point. In two weeks we have our Peek A Baby appointment to do a 4D ultrasound with video and colored pictures! We are counting down the days.

So, my TWO favorite names at this point are: Paislee Jade  AND Londyn (pronounced London, like the place) Jade. I still like Josselyn Jade too.

Only 13 more weeks until she arrives...!!!!

Pregnancy Update--Week 25
posted on 01/14/2008

The pregnancy is going very well at this point. Only one more week and I will be in the THIRD and final trimester! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by.

My latest doctor appointment went well too. Her heartbeat was very strong and very loud--156 beats per minute. Dr. Kirkman said my weight and everything looked really good. She also said that I am measuring a week bigger than where I am. This can mean one of two things: 1. I am having a BIG baby or 2. The baby will come a week earlier than we expected. We won't know for sure until we do the next ultrasound, which will be in week 32. We also plan on having a 3D/4D ultrasound done in February. I will post the DVD clip on the website once we get it. We are so excited!

The baby is moving around A LOT! Sometimes I wonder if there is an octopus in there. Blake has been enjoying feeling her kick and move around. They have regular "wars" with each other to see who can get the last "poke".

On Friday I had my screening for gestational diabetes. We are suppose to find out today the results, but I haven't heard anything yet (which is good news). We'll keep our fingers crossed!

All the baby furniture is in and set up in the nursery! It makes me very anxious for her to arrive now that the nursery is starting to look like a nursery. I am in the process of cleaning all my junk out of the closet and making room for her stuff. I am also working on decorating the room...which I find to be so much fun! Kiss

I have entered the stage where I go to the doctor every two weeks. My next appointment is January 24th, so I'll let you know what I measure then.

Hope you enjoy this website where you can find the latest updates on Baby Girl Harrott! Don't forget to go vote for your favorite name (under the "poll" tab) and look at the latest pictures (under the "photos" tab) and sign the guestbook so we know you visited!
