Mummy started having contractions at around 2.20pm Saturday while watching tv with daddy & nan. At about 5.30pm they decided to go to the hospital as the contractions were now 5 minutes apart. When they got there the midwife showed them to the birthing suite where mummy enjoyed a nice soothing bath while daddy watched St George defeat Broncos 20-4.

At 9pm the midwife asked if they'd like to see how far labour had progessed and they said yes. When she told them mummy was only 3cms dilated mummy almost died as she was already in so much pain!

At about 12.45am mummy started getting the urge to PUSH! The midwife then checked and said she was now 10cm dilated and about to have her baby!
Mummy was unaware, but Jesse's heartrate dropped to the low 60's before he was born. A doctor was called and a team was waiting for his arrival to resuscitate him. To everyones surprise, Jesse came out screaming! No one knew why his heart rate dropped so low but once he was born he was perfectly fine! He must have had an angel looking over him. Mummy and daddy were so happy to finally meet their little man.
Over the next day Jesse spent a little time under the heater and his temperature was monitored as it was a little low. But after lots of warm cuddles and kisses, it was up back to normal in no time!
