My 2nd Christmas posted on 12/12/2007
Hi Folks, It has been a while since I have written last but I have recently found my legs and they just keep going and going and going. I love being able to walk and run and now I am preparing for my second Christmas. Daddy is busy with work and Mommy is busy trying to keep up with me (but I think I am faster than she is ). We are decorating the house and buying presents and getting pictures taken. It has been a busy time for me. We will be celebrating Christmas morning with just me and Mommy and Daddy and Mikaela. We will do Christmas eve with Daddy's family too. The day after Christmas is going to be a big day because I am flying again. It's been about 4 months since my last flight to see Mommy's family and now that I am walking and all, I am not sure if I will be able to sit still on the flight. I am really looking forward to the trip and playing in the snow. Well, I have to go and take a nap now but I will be back soon. Jonah

My Birthday posted on 09/26/2007
Well, I made it to my first birthday without much trouble. I'm not sure exactly what this means. But, I have had two, count' 'em two, cakes where I got to put my hands into them and squish them around. That was totally AWESOME!!! I have had people singing to me and sending and giving me toys. I don't have any favorite toys though, I just love them all. Daddy tells me I look good for my age. He says that I could still pass for 0, so I consider that a good thing. People have been callng me and singing to me, too. In the words of Ice Cube - "Today's been a good day." Well, I have to go and take my morning nap or I get cranky. You don't want to see me when I get cranky. So, I will be back soon to add more stuff. Come back and visit and don't forget to sign my guestbook (I love reading that stuff).

Hi! Thanks for coming by again :) i know that i'm way behind on my journal entries, but i've been VERY busy! i've been eating solids with a spoon! mom makes great homemade mush. i can sit up by myself and i roll all over the house....up and down the hall and around the living room. once i get over to the curtains, i try to pull them straight down! there's two or three bottom teeth that are trying to come in and boy do they hurt! i'm working on waving bye-bye, but getting all those fingers to move is tough!

Hi There!! Well, my fourth month has been very eventful...and I'm only half way through! I've rolled over twice so far! I've also started eating rice cereal with a spoon and sitting on Mikaela's lap unsupported. I can't sit up on the floor yet, but it's coming. Last night, I even put myself to sleep in my crib instead of having to be rocked to sleep. I'm getting better at playing on my tummy, I smile aaaall the time and I've finally started laughing out loud. I crack my mom and dad up every single day. :)

Dear Journal, Happy New Year!!! It's hard to believe that I am going to be 1 this year. Time has gone by so fast and I don't know where it has gone. I do know that I am smiling more and laughing at my silly parents and other family members. I know that I really dig this thing called Christmas and that last year me and Mommy and Daddy played the holy family. That means you should bow down and worship me. Just kidding. I actually slept through it all. Christmas was a good time for us. We celebrated with my daddy's family at our house and there was lots of good things. Mommy made her second turkey of the year and her life and everyone said it was wonderful. I got some cool clothes from folks and diapers and a few toys. This Spring I am heading back up north to see Memere and Pepere and Cool Aunt Erin. This is a bittersweet trip since Daddy can't come. He has to attend the Bishop's conference that week so Mommy and me are going. I am really excited to see everyone though. Well, I need to eat and play with Mommy and Daddy. Check back soon because I have another doctor's appointment in a month.

Dear Journal, Well, I survived the plane trips up to Connectict and back. It wasn't too bad to be honest. Mommy and Daddy made sure that I was fine when we took off and landed. And when I cried, they knew exactly what to do to help calm me down. They are the best parents in the world . I made it through my cold and ready for whatever comes next. Thanksgiving was really good. I got to meet my Cool Aunt Erin and Pepere. They are great and I can't wait to see them and Memere again. I also got to meet my cousins and aunts and uncles. It was a great trip. Next is Christmas. Mommy and Daddy are telling people I need diapers and formula but what I really want is a PlayStation 3. I am not sure who this Santa is but Mommy wants my picture taken with him soon. Speaking of pictures, I need to add some more here. Nana is also taking me in a couple of weeks to get 'official' Christmas pictures. Ok, I have to get ready for my Mommy and Daddy's Christmas banquet. I will write more later.

Dear Journal, I officially have my first cold. I'm 7 weeks old today but I have a small cough, some sneezing and a runny nose. My mommy and daddy think I look so cute when my tongue curls up and I cough though, and really, who am I to disagree . Yesterday was an exciting day for me because I took my first shower. I needed a bath and daddy needed a shower so we decided to kill two birds with one stone, although I never saw the dead birds. After the showers we went to the doctor to confirm this cold and I had gained a little more weight. In the 7 weeks of my life I have gained almost 3 pounds and have grown a little over 3 inches. Next week is Thanksgiving and I have a lot to be thankful for. For one, I get to celebrate this day twice. We are celebrating with Daddy's family Saturday. Secondly, I am going on my first airplane trip on Monday to Connecticut and so you can imagine that I am a little nervous. But I am sure that it will awesome and the first of many trips there. We are going to celebrate Thanksgiving next week there. Last but not least, I get to meet some more family. I am super excited about getting to meet my Cool Aunt Erin and Pepere. I am really excited about this trip and will write more about it when I get back. So, until then have a Happy Thanksgiving .

Dear Journal, Yesterday was my one month check-up with the doctor. Things went very well and I am now putting back on the weight that I had lost after birth. (I have put that information on my growth chart.) The doctor seemed to think that I was progressing well and said that we didn't need to come back until my two month check-up. Overall I would say that my first month in this world has been good. My mommy and daddy are the best parents in the world and I have a fantastic big sister. Life seems to be pretty good. Well, it's time to go to town.
