This weekend we had my first trip to church. This was my official introduction to the church, known as a "naming" or "churching". This is very important because it is my preliminary visit prior to being baptized. The Priest came and got me from Daddy and carried me into the front of the church, with Mommy and Daddy following. When we got up there the Priest said a prayer. He had a little card with him with lots of words on it. I found it fascinating, especially because there were no pictures. All my books have pictures. Why didn't his? I was a good baby and I didn't cry once... well, okay, I cried at the church, but not until my little ceremony was over. Can I help it if I was hungry? Now everyone is in the process of planning my baptism. The ceremony will be at the end of July.

Many people ask me how I'm getting along with the kitties, especially since we haven't updated on them lately. The main thing with the kitties is that they are jealous of the attention that I get. Mommy and Daddy make sure they pet the kitties every day, and they still get fed, but they see me getting attention and they know it takes time away from them. Luckily they are not the vindictive types! Other than that, Ginger (the orange kitty) pretty much leaves me alone. She's not into babies. When Daddy puts me near her, she just gets up and walks away. When I am playing on the floor she usually gives me a wide berth. Nevertheless, she loves using my blankets and bed when I'm not around, so she does get some benefits of having me here! Cleo (the Siamese) just doesn't understand why I won't give her attention! When I'm with Daddy or Mommy she will sometimes come to cuddle, laying at my feet as the parental units hold me. Her new thing is she will come up to me alone and meow for my attention. The poor kitty doesn't understand that I don't have the coordination yet to pet her. But Mommy and Daddy still have to watch her around me - one day Daddy caught her snuggling up and kneading me. It was cute, but it could easily hurt if she used claws. I do enjoy having the kitties around. I like to watch them as they move around the house, and I am analyzing their movements to figure out how to crawl. They are good company and we all love them - even if Cleo does sometimes wake us up a little too early in the morning!

Over the past week or so I have been working quite a bit on my muscle development. When I stretch out on a blanket, I can pivot myself around pretty well - almost in a complete circle! I am also very good at moving so I'm laying on my side. I haven't really done that since I was a couple days old! I haven't quite gotten coordinated enough to roll over onto my belly, but I can do it easily with a little help from Mommy or Daddy. As a matter of fact, I am also raising my head better when on my belly now; in the past I would complain as soon as I was given "tummy time", but with the better coordination I don't mind it as much. Way back when I was a couple weeks old, I put up a poll asking when people thought I would crawl. I was feeling very confident in my abilities and thought I would be moving around pretty quickly. I was so confident I fooled 50% of my friends into believing I would be crawling by the time I was 15 weeks old - that was last week, if you're keeping track. In honor of my getting close to turning over, and to update the polls, how about we run the crawling poll again?

We had lots of fun this weekend in Orlando. Mommy and Daddy went to Pete and Lisa's wedding while I stayed home with Grammy Pat. We went for a walk and read books and watched TV. Daddy brought my bed up with us so I got to sleep in familiar territory, and slept all night just as if I were home. On Sunday we went to Pete and Lisa's Newlywed Brunch. I met lots of new people and spent some time in everyone's arms. I even met a new baby boy, Ryan. He was cute and nice. There might be a future there for me! Then we went to Downtown Disney. Mommy and Daddy said I'm still too little to enjoy Disney, but this allowed me to experience some of the Disney flavor without spending the whole day there. We went to lots of shops and looked at clothes, toys, stuffed animals, and more. We got a couple new outfits for me and a drawing of Piglet with my name on it. This will go on the wall with Mommy and Daddy's pictures of Pooh and Eeyore that they bought many years ago and make the family wall official!

Has it ever been a busy week! My Aunt Heather came to visit this past week. She was a lot of fun! She would play with me and make faces at me and stick out her tongue. We got along great! We went to the mall a couple times and over to Grammy's for dinner. But all good things come to an end, and yesterday she went back home. We also went to my cousin Nicole's graduation/birthday party over the weekend. I got to meet lots of relatives there, including my Great Grandma. Everyone said I was really cute. If this keeps up, I'm going to get a big head! As if that wasn't enough, we graduated from Infant Massage class yesterday. I was a little fussy during the last class because I was a bit hungry, but Mommy and the teacher say it's okay that I just wasn't in the mood. At least I posed for pictures well.

Happy Belated Mother's Day to everyone! We celebrated Mother's Day by sleeping in. I went to bed at 9:30 p.m. and slept until 6:00 a.m. - my longest consecutive sleep yet! Then, after a quick diaper change and bottle, we went back to bed until almost 9:00. Mommy really appreciated getting all that rest! Daddy also helped me pick out a great Winnie-the-Pooh figure for Mommy as a First Mommy's Day gift. She has it proudly displayed in our cabinet. Then, on Monday, I turned 3 months old! Wow! How time flies! In celebration of this event I have found my thumb and now proudly suck my thumb most of the time rather than chewing on my fist. Daddy says I do it wrong, though, because I do not ball up the rest of my fingers; I let them splay across my face while I suck the thumb. I am a pretty noisy thumbsucker, too... you can hear me from a room away. But I must say that thumb is pretty tasty! Mommy complains because it makes my fingers all sticky and she constantly has to clean them. Daddy says that the thumbsucking is an indication that I will be right-handed, since it is mostly my right thumb that I suck. In addition to the thumb, I now like sucking at fabrics. I like to grab my shirt and place it in my mouth, or sometimes a blanket or stuffed animal if I can get to it. Mommy has a couple animals she gives me just for this purpose, including a little Tigger holding a blanket. She's already said if we lose this toy she doesn't know what we'll do!

In the last week I have gotten a completely new wardrobe. I am now fully in the 3-6 month sizes! I miss some of my old clothes - I had some great outfits - but the new clothes are really awesome too. Besides... doesn't every woman wish she could have a completely new wardrobe every 3 months! I also have a new boyfriend. Since Brandon lives too far away to have regular dates, I now have Mickey to keep me company. I have a stuffed Baby Mickey sitting on a ball; when he sits next to me we are just about eye level to each other. We talk quite often, and although he's not much on conversation he is very melodious. (the ball has a chime inside!)

Mommy and I went to Infant Massage Class today! We will be going to class for a total of 4 weeks so Mommy can learn how to massage me and make me feel good. Supposedly the massage relaxes people, but I enjoyed fidgeting around the entire time, wiggling my arms and legs. The teacher said this is just fine as some babies find the massage stimulating, and the fact that I was so happy and didn't cry was a good sign that it worked well. Nevertheless, the fact that I kept moving as Mommy was trying to learn to massage my legs and feet made her job a little difficult. The class had a total of 3 babies - me, a 4-month old girl, and a 5-week old boy. Mommy thinks I was the biggest kid in the class, even bigger than the 4-month old. As a matter of fact, her mommy was surprised when my Mommy said I was only 11 weeks old. I guess I'm getting big really fast! I enjoyed so much I didn't want to go home and cried as we packed up. Next week we learn to massage the belly. I can't wait!
